Hmmm the label that came with my cactus said to keep soil “moderately moist - don’t let the soil dry out, but don’t overwater” I wonder if keeping the soil moist is the reason my blooms dropped.

Great video! But you have it backwards about tubers. Potatoes are perfect examples of tubers (thickened stem), sweet potatoes are not (thickened root). True that sweet potatoes are sometimes casually referred as tuber, but "tuberous root" (meaning 'like a tuber', not actually a tuber) is a more accurate description if you are teaching differences like in this video, since a tuber, by definition, is a thickened stem. 🙂

Should a Christmas cactus bloom all year round?

@bruceduncan1792 I planted my dwarf blue spruce about 1.5 years ago and it hasn't grown much. Unlike the video I did not plant her above ground. My soil is clay like and I'm afraid she's sitting low and and soggy. Is 1.5 years to much time for me to dig her up and plant her right. Love this video btw!

Great information as always. I live in Indiana and just recently started to think about my lawn and the front of my house. It very bare right now all I have is just mulch that I laid down in November. Please suggest shrubs to plant and what time to plant. Thank you.

No, unfortunately, I’m mechanically inclined. I am a nut job when it comes to putting those things together. I don’t even need to need the blueprints. I’ll put it together and you won’t have extra nuts and bolts. Use every single nut bolt

Just found this today. So years ago my wife gave me Grapefruit/Lemon/lime seeds that would be growing roots in her fruit. Long story short, I'm not sure if it's lemon or Grapefruit, I live in CT so it's in the house all year round, it has 2 leaves and didn't grow at all for like 2yrs! I was growing at that time and put it under my grow lights, it blasted off! I guess I need help to identify it! I learned a lot from the video, I need help pruning! I'm gonna check thru the videos!

I'm in the bay area California. When I bought my house, that's was a pontsettia planted outside my kitchen window. Corner of the house mostly shade but morning light. The dryer vent blows out near it. I water it a couple times a month in the summer and it's over 5 feet tall.

In the process of trying to have the bracts change now. Think I started the dark phase a bit late in the year to allow change for the holidays. I do see color change starting though.

I grow the outdoors and the shorter days and longer nights make mine turn . Usually by November into December. They usually get killed by freeze a little before Christmas but it’s really pretty until it does
