I love her. She’s intelligent. She’s right when she saud LIWANAG (LIGHT) the root word for MAGPALIWANAG is just the same with LIGHT and to ENLIGHTENED.. she learned some of the hardest words that foreigners are having difficult time to learn. I am always fascinated by Americans or any foreigners know how to speak Tagalog or any regional language. Learning Philippine language is like learning a little bit of different language and culture. More interviews LIFEY Please! I am always entertained with your uploads.

I had no choice but to learn the language because my wife, who incidentally happens to be a Filipina, strongly urged me to do so so I would not look like an idiot when we were in the Philippines on vacation.

Tama ka about tag lish, you are correct about numbers beyond 10 instead saying tagalog it's better to say in Spanish. It looks you are good in speaking tagalog bec the way you pronounce the word is like perfect. Thanks for your inputs about Tagalog ( I dont speak any PH dialects except Tagalog)

The "ng" (IPA /ŋ/ ) as initial phoneme is indeed the most difficult sound to pronounce for westerners when learning South East Asian languages. That's why we always get impressed by foreigners who put effort to correctly say the sound.

She always said that tagalog is like musical. It is bcoz the sound of tagalog is sweet to the ears to hear. The largest tagalog speaker is in the Southern part of the Philippines. But not in Visayas and Mindanao region. The Visayan and Mindanaoan speaker has an hard accent. For example the word "lalake/babae" in tagalog (man/woman), in Visayan and Mindanaoan it becomes "lalaki/babai". The E vowel sound is like the " eh" sound in English becomes I/i or like "ee" sound in english. Its like this...ba-ba-e in tagalog... in English sound it's buh-buh-eh but in Visayan/Mindanaoan the sound like in English is buh-buh-ee. I hope I explained well😂😂😂😜

wrong explanation... Here is my explanation, visayans or minadanao will pronounce if differently, because we just say lake or baye, tagalog words are longer, we like to talk fast, meaning communicate fast, our words are shorter while tagalog words are longer... some words they ( tagalog) use, they think it is tagalog origin word but it is actually a visayan word. haha

One of the easiest way to learn tagalog is to memorize the Filipino alphabet sound.👍👌😊

Actually your learning Pilipino language base on tagalog.... it is an evolving language infusing all the local dialects/languages including english, spanish, chinese, korean, and all foreign languages that we come into contact.... eventually pilipino will totally differ from tagalog... pure tagalog have more deep words unknown to us plus the accent/tone/volume is different

Tagalog is ubiquitous because of Filipino movies and music/songs are in Tagalog . as other dialects are usually confined to their region of origin.

"ng" is treated as one letter, it is part of the Pilipino alphabet, it is the 12th letter: A,b,k,d,e,g,h,i,l,m,n,ng,o,p,r,s,t,u,w,y
