What I particularly like about your channel is that you tell us what’s “in,” and then let us know whether or not you’re going to follow it. And that’s whole thing, isn’t it? It’s okay not to follow the “rules!”

Am in California and love hearing these fashion forecasts. We are a good 6 months to a year behind following Euro fashion.

LOL at your description of your faux leather leggings! I wore my brown ones a couple of weeks ago and actually really liked how they looked, but the waistband kept rolling down on me and drove me absolutely crazy! Fun video. I actually dug out some of my 2000s sweaters recently and was surprised at how they are spot-on trend again. LOL Although I was surprised by how itchy a couple of them were, until I remembered that I always wore them with a turtleneck under them. No way I can do that now; I'd roast! LOL

Dez! First off, thank you so much for the shout out! And secondly thanks for laughs! You seriously are so funny! Your “sex shop” leather leggings comment had me cracking up! I do love your men’s shirt and what a deal! I am also with you rejecting kitten heels! That tiny heel makes me feel so unsafe! lol! Such a fun video! You are a joy to watch my friend!❤️

Interesting, This is obviously one Fashion Editors opinion that contradicts alot of the fashion pieces the designers have in store for SS 2024. Like you Dez I wont be owning a Mac they have never suited me either. Apparently florals are very much around this year of a more moody tone! I do enjoy buying the Hello Fashion Mag for inspiration. However I do think we should take a leaf out of Iris Apfel's book & express our personality through individual fashion.

I personally have always loved to hear about London fashion instead of Paris fashion. I live in the middle of the USA so our fashion is usually 3 to 4 year -. I guess with the Internet and social media it is now only one or two years behind what you’re wearing in London. Either way, I feel that you set the style for us, and then it finally makes its way down the food chain so to speak to the middle of the USA.❤❤

Very enjoyable video. Im surprised you don’t like a Mac. I couldn’t do without mine. Have you considered a straight, single-breasted one, without a belt. Knee length. More streamlined. I think it would really suit your chic, pared-back style. Can be a bit edgy too, with trainers or chunky boots.

Thanks so much Sonia! Actually, I do have a Mac - well, it’s really a kind of sou’wester- and it’s straight up and down with poppers, but it has those flappy epaulettes, so it’s not a fashion item - comes in super handy when it’s pouring in London as it comes right down to my ankles! I might hunt one down as you suggest for Spring - but it is tricky to find one in that style - I’ll take up the challenge!

@@beautybydez I found one in a charity shop! It’s a sort of swing style with a pleat down the back. The usual beige colour but with red inside the pleat and on the underside of the collar. So I will be fulfilling the “red” criterion too! I am a proper fashionista without even trying! 😂

Hi sweet Dez. Not sure if you are back yet, but your trip looked incredible. I'm only 5', and it's hard to find them in a short length. If I don't stop eating, my big jeans are going to be small jeans! I'm never giving up my leggings. I have 2 pair of faux leather leggings, and have yet to wear them. I don't own a blazer. I'm with you. Not into shirts. Usually sweaters and long sleeve tees. Tina looks fabulous in the man's shirt. I will wear a soft denim shirt under a sweater. Yes. Black head to toe, with a few cat hairs for good luck. LOL Also with you. I'm not a skirt wearer. I've never heard the Expression Mac for a Trench coat. I don't wear red. It looks great on others, but a true red is not for me. I'm not a Birkenstock wearer. My oldest daughter used to wear them with socks in the winter when she was in high school. This was so interesting. Thank you, my darling Dez. Have a fabulous week. Much love❣️💗❤️

Thank you cherie! I am still in Bequia and can't quite imagine going home to London, but we'll be back next week. My friend whose husband said she looked great in wider logged jeans is 5ft 1, so might be worth a punt? I'll update on he Weekday jeans when I get home. Have a lovely rest of your Sunday ❤️🩷🧡

This video is a hoot for me Dez. OK so Colorado USA has a grand tradition of claiming to have invented the concept of Birkenstock sandals and white cotton socks back to the 70s and the John Denver era. It is so funny to me., to this day, when visiting mountain towns in the summer, I will see a variety of age groups wearing this trend. Also, I happen to live in the west. Colorado is also known for rodeos and Cowboys.. so there is this idea that you have to earn the right to wear cowboy boots as in work with horses, ride horses or do country dancing in road houses and saloons . And of course no one would be so rude to actively call you out on it, but shiny, cowboy boots are somewhat frowned upon as being fake, or called city slicker, or a person from Denver, such as a politician. Except for funerals, ironically, your brand new cowboy boots are often worn by men in suits to funerals., or by ladies in Prairie skirts or prairie dresses. I have also noticed this occurring more frequently in Oklahoma and Texas of course where true cowboys began, and they still use horses on ranches to manage cattle. so anyway, it’s all in good fun …. biker boots are also very popular where I live, especially during the biker rallies which consists of hundreds of bikers who are riding motorcycles who come to the mountains in organized fashion with flags, leather and other get ups. It was so much fun for me to hear about the take on this as well as the other fashion trends!!❤❤

Ooh interesting! John Denver - remember him well, although never knew about Birkenstocks until the late 90s when I worked with some young women who wore them, and back then I thought they looked like Dr Scholls! I guess it’s all a bit cultural appropriation in a way - particularly re cowboy boots and prairie dresses. TBH I’m’ not sure I’ve seen anyone in London wearing a prairie dress and/or cowboy boots very often - but biker boots are popular in cities and in the country here, both with bikers and non-bikers alike. Thanks so much dearest Mags ❤️
