Your comment about faux leather sometimes smelling like fish reminded me that there are some new types of leathers being developed that are not sourced from cowhides. One of the new types of leathers that’s being developed is actually made from fish skin. The manufacturers collect fish skin from seafood restaurants. i’m not sure how to get rid of the smell I’m assuming there’s a process for that
