Fashionista Red Glitter Tack-It Method Tumbler, Printable Vinyl, and a Trip to the Dark Side!

I'm dipping back into my recent Glitter Chimp haul (see that video here: • Color Shift Glitter, P... ) for a gorgeous ruby red, holographic, ultra fine glitter called "Dorothy" and then adding some art, a saying, some pin stripes, and holy haunted mansion, look at that graphic! The macabre gods laughed and laughed.

I love Swirls! Mostly swirls of color, but really any swirls at all - I think they add a beauty and grace to everything. So after I started making soap a few years ago, and needing some sort of biz name that didn't sound like everyone else's version of suds-r-us, I decided on Luxinda Swirl. Luxinda is a twist on my real name, and I quickly started putting swirls of color in all of my handmade soaps.
Now I'm branching out a bit, and I want to keep adding swirls to everything I do!

The Glitter Chimp Glitter “Dorothy” is Stunning on this done with the Tack-it method I will be ordering that in the next month just to have it because it’s so gorgeous I also absolutely love the decal that you made I am big-time into skulls and this one in the dress is just amazing! You left this comment a month ago, and I've been trying to figure out since how to respond in the nicest possible way. It actually says "Life is short Buy the dress" -- I'm sorry some folks are put off by my choice of font and how it looks, but there's nothing that needs to be corrected here. It says what I intended it to say and looks as I intended it to look. When making tumblers (or anything, really) it's really all personal choice. Thank you for watching.

I absolutely love this cup , as usual learned a lot from your tutorial. But I got a question, when you seal your decal with the uv- resin how do you apply the resin, do you put it on with a brush of some kind or straight out of the bottle? I'm just now starting to ease into the uv-resin world and still trying to learn how to handle it. I do have a set of the silicone brushes that I could use. Thank you for your help and information

Thanks! You could absolutely apply it with a silicone brush or what I do is just put a few drops on whatever area I want, then smooth it over everything with a gloved finger. That way I can feel as well as see that I'm getting it over the area I want it. Hope this helps!

I am loving this cup! Which makes me wanna go buy some red glitter, I like red but don’t just loooove it or reach for it often. I too am a turquoise/aqua girl but this makes me realize I need to have a gorgeous red in my collection bc it just ✨shines✨also the dark touches you add are one of my favorite things about your channel!

Thanks! That’s a great question, but I honestly don’t know the answer. I’ve never worked with Crystalac so I’m not sure what its limitations might be. I would suggest either joining a FB group for tumbler makers who use Crystalac and asking there, or watching one of the many Crystalac user KZbin videos and asking there. I’m sorry I’m not more helpful.

Ive spent a few thousand dollars on all my craft stuff and still want to be able to use them😉I think I will just have to bite the bullet and try If I eff the cup up lol I will just strip it and start over. Stunning, love the “secret sauce”!! A question about “lift”, wouldn’t the final coat of Resin hold it all down? Just curious as I am such a rookie.

The final coat definitely seals everything in once it cures, but when you first apply the resin layer and it's still fluid, that's when edges of vinyl can lift, and they can't be pressed back down at that point. So for me (I overseal everything), using the UV resin to make sure the vinyl stays down when I put the epoxy resin layer on it is really important. Other folks don't seem to have vinyl lifting problems, but the first it happens and you have to strip a cup or sand the vinyl off and start again, then the UV resin precaution seems like a pretty good idea. It's not my idea -- I got it from watching The Purple Stitch, because I guess she had vinyl lifting issues, too, so that's how she handles it now.
