I agree with all of the comments. As someone who has watched you for years I am slowly losing interest and connecting to you in some way or form. It isn't the price of items that I personally don't agree with, rather the amount of luxury items you "need" in such a short amount of time. The hauls are endless and the amount of items are shocking. I have noticed some items you even forget about because you have that many. It does seem like your interest in fashion is becoming an addiction and more to get that "fix" of happiness when you buy something. Like others have said, most of us can't connect to this, we spend months and months saving up for just one item in your haul, let alone the twenty dresses you show us in one sitting. There is nothing wrong with working hard and spending your money as you choose - but your audience are a big factor to KZbin and for me, other than the cooking portion, I tend to now skip on anything luxury. Maybe if you showed us alternatives or styling videos? Rather than continuously purchasing. I also find the contrast between trying to consume foods and buy certain items that are beneficial to the planet and then buying what I think is an unnecessary amount of clothing quite hypocritical. Hope to see you take some feedback on and alter some of your topics as I do enjoy your energy.

I would love to see you shop your closet more It seems you gravitate to very similar things. Buying new things is fun, but sometimes it seems that you bring things in that are similar to items you already have. Because you buy luxury and high quality, the things in your closet will stand the test of time, and you have a vast clothing collection. It would be much more interesting to see how you work with things you have collected, and only bring in very special pieces. That would be more in line with your sustainability ethos. If your purchases are a content issue, just take us shopping and try on things as a way to show us what is out there. . This is said with love not criticism.

Most recent reports are that Aldi is actually the supermarket that does the most for British farmers. Lots of references online saying that 80% of sales are from British suppliers. I don’t mind strong opinions but agree with other comments that some of what Charlie said is bordering on offensive. We all want to look after our health but as others have said most of us don’t have the time or finances that you both have - we are having to rely on supermarkets, sometimes having to rely on processed food due to limited time and trying our best to squeeze in workouts between busy jobs and family/ caring responsibilities. We all try to make the best choices that we can.

@@trudiegordon6327I think this might be less about his opinions (nothing wrong with having a strong passion tbh, and theoretically, he is right!) But its more maybe about the delivery of his words? I’m also super big on eating well and supporting my locals as much as I can (as much as I can as a student anyway) but I do feel like some of the advice borders a little on being a bit too much sometimes. This doesn’t mean I don’t think they can’t share their opinions, just maybe tone it down a notch and just focus on the positives instead of admonishing the other side, especially when we can recognize WHY people choose to buy a supermarkets. Perhaps they can shift a focus on recommending methods to get easier access, how to get the most of things, how to MAKE the most of it. Tackle the issues on why people who are financially or regionally less likely to purchase, rather than demonizing those who do.

I appreciate Charlie’s honesty about his 5 years of abstaining from alcohol. Charlie - you are intense and focused… and I wonder if you have ever been tested as being a high-functioning person who is on the spectrum. I suspect you are working behind the scenes to keep the all the balls in the air, so that Josie can focus on the vlogging and other aspects of your joint efforts. Clearly your lifestyle is aspirational for the vast majority of people - and it seems that the moments of true joy don’t come when Josie opens a box of Gucci, Hermes, Loewe, or whatever the “luxury good” is in any event. As with British farmers who are producing local goods, TRUE luxury in fashion isn’t a brand that has thousands of the same items selling globally… it’s the woman who made Josie’s wedding dress who is producing what is actually a luxury item. Maybe that is something you could focus on Josie - local fashion producers of true luxury.

Hi Josie, I really like the variety of content in your vlogs (fashion, fitness, health, gardening) but the amount of shopping you do is so excessive. I think it’s not a problem that it’s expensive, it’s your money and you work for it, but I’ve seen you buy the same things over and over and a lot of items you bought in the past aren’t really seen in any vlogs so I guess you hardly wear them. Also one of the reasons to buy more timeless pieces is to buy less. If you constantly buy new things it’s the same as buying trendy pieces each season in the end. As I said I really like the vibe of your channel but especially with regard to sustainability and the environment (something you also talk about a lot) the overconsumption is just too much 😕
@GodsGrace987

My thoughts to this is she probably doesn’t keep half the stuff she buys. But every time she buys stuff and links it…and we click that link….she makes money. So why would she stop buying (probably returning a large portion of that and why you don’t see her wear it)? She’s in the business to advertise and sell the products she likes. But WE as the viewers and consumers are the ones that have the power. We don’t have to click those links and we don’t have to buy what she recommends unless we want to. That is how influencers make money dear. Through our involvement. ☺️❤️
@alicegracelife
@alicegracelife 4 ай бұрын
@@GodsGrace987yes I agree, but to me Josie definitely seems really authentic, which is something I like about her. So I think she keeps the things she says she is keeping and sometimes you see these pieces in wardrobe organisation videos for example. But I get 100 percent what you mean and there are probably a lot of influencers doing this, but I guess this strategy makes more sense with slightly more affordable pieces as most people will probably not click the links to buy items like the ones showed in the video :) and in general I feel even if it’s their job influencers should as well be a bit environmentally conscious especially if they talk about this topic a lot in other areas of life 😊
@GodsGrace987
@GodsGrace987 4 ай бұрын
@@alicegracelife I agree with the consumption. I think most are becoming more aware of it and even Josie herself in her videos seems to be aware. So it’s just a journey. And it’s hard when your job is to recommend products. So finding that balance in life will be needed. And figuring out a way to create a balance with her moral and ethics. It’s okay to buy new things. But everything should be done in moderation. As someone who use to live heavily in debt to support her shopping addiction I can tell you it’s a hard habit to break. And you definitely have moments where you fall off the wagon or like she says just get carried away. So as always…we have to have grace for each other as we are ALL learning as we go. ☺️❤️

Before deciding on what to keep you should really look through your current wardrobe and see whether you have something almost identical and really need it. You said yourself you forgot when ordering the pink jumper that you had one almost identical so you don’t need another £700 duplicate and you must surely have so many knits already. I also think Charlie is a bit out of touch if he’s implying people could cut back on eating out as much, drinking etc in order to spend money on healthier but ultimately more expensive products. in the current climate people are already watching every penny and aren’t fortunate enough to afford weekly massages, farm shops, pricey all plants deliveries etc.

Yes but they also needs to realise that some of what they say is their opinion and not make it seem like the vast majority who shop at supermarkets are doing something wrong, it’s not on- also to comment on it every single video gets a bit tedious and I agree with the comment that it comes across telling us how to live our lives. If they feel so strongly about why don’t they get themselves educated/ trained nutritionist that way I think people would be more receptive to their opinions- absolutely no hate x

However much I love what Tim Spector stands for, dietary changes etc and what the empirical data tells us, what we all need to realistic about is that he is also a Salesman! Be it Zoe kits or M+S shot collaborations… seems to me you may have finally sussed this one out! Simply all down to us making our own good choices.. Also sugar is not the enemy…. Josie loved the discussion about Zoe. I have to agree with Charlie. Gut health is the health fad at the minute and we just don't know enough about it. My comment about zeo is its £2.00 a shot. Cost so much to have one a day for a family. I agree with the size issue too. I agree we need to eat better. There is no shortcut to improving our fruit and veg intact.

I think it is very important to remember that there are many steps in the clean eating journey. Its a huge jump to get from where the average person starts their journey to where Charlie is and most people can't get there overnight. For example, cutting out ultra processed foods alone is still better than nothing, and if thats the best people can do they shouldnt be made to feel bad because their dairy isnt organic. Its good to educate people but I personally don't feel encouraged by the "you should" talks.

Definitely the classic brown gloves - far more classy and timeless whereas the Gucci ones are flashy like you said. Too much branding. Regarding the Saint Laurent bag have you looked at the baby sac de jour in tan colour with gold hardware? It’s the same colour as the one you purchased and is also understated and simple but it fits more in and also comes in a gorgeous grained leather - I purchased it recently and it’s amazing. The smooth leather on the one you bought looks like it may scratch? Maybe it was the lighting but it looked like it had a few marks on it? Have a great time at Disney!
