I followed your directions precisely and when checking my levels it is far below the E. I let it run and I even putted it around the yard to get some oil cycled through. That can’t be normal that my oil is a 1/4 inch below the E on the dipstick

My oil keeps pooling in the oil reservoir. I put one quart in the main filler hole and the rest in the reserve tank per manual. I guess I should keep trying different methods of filling my engine with oil?

Question: Don't have manual for my '21 Raptor 700R-SE in front of me..so you DONT add ANY oil to oil canister separate from engine? *Btw, try Mobil1 4T racing 10w40 full- synthetic engine oil next time (avail any parts store) highly rated* . Engine will last longer between b4 rebuilding.

My manual stated to add the oil to the oil fill location as I did in the video, not the front oil tank where the dipstick is located. I followed the manual exactly.

Not sure about that one. Call your dealer and ask service if that is normal. Mi e looked like regular old oil when I did the change.

Hey man if it’s the break in oil it’s normal to have metal shaving because the motor is brand new and is opening up

Yes, that is normal. That is the reason why you do the break in oil change

First oil change its quite normal. Gears run in and dumps the pieces that make it not run smooth.

I just followed these instructions while trying to look at my manual and it looks a little bit confusing because my manual tells me to put it in to the oil tank filler cap and now that I just put it in per your instructions I realized that’s not what the manual says please respond

It's a hair bigger than 10mm and that is the largest allen wrench I have that is marked size wise, sorry.

Weird that people all over youtube put oil in the engine? The genuine Yamaha 700 owners manual below tells you to fill it from just the oil tank…… Install the crankcase engine oil drain bolt and the engine oil tank drain bolt, and then tighten them to the specified torques.Tightening torques:Crankcase engine oil drain bolt:23 Nm (2.3 m·kgf, 16.6 ft·lbf)Engine oil tank drain bolt:19 Nm (1.9 m·kgf, 13.7 ft·lbf)12. Install the engine oil filler cap, and then tightenit to the specified torque.Tightening torque:Engine oil filler cap:12 Nm (1.2 m·kgf,8.7 ft·lbf)13. Pour only 1.3 L (1.37 US qt, 1.16 Imp.qt) of thespecified amount of the recommended engineoil through the engine oil tank filler hole, and then install and tighten the oil tank filler cap.14. Start the engine, rev it several times, and thenturn it off.15. Remove the engine oil tank filler cap, and thengradually fill the oil tank with the remaining oil quantity while regularly checking the oil level on the dipstick. What is a crankcase FILLER BOLT??? I really doubt putting oil in the crankcase like that given we do this all the time with other vehicles will hurt the quad. Weird how it still runs like new 4 years later. Kind regards!
