I like this shape but your link now goes to one that looks too tall and cheesy. It seems that there a very few manufacturers making these that look good. One I really like is made in Australia. I have an s shape shower elbow in a home I just purchased but the part that threads into the wall seems a bit deep. When I try and slide the cover plate down it is scratching up the tile. I am kind of lost on what to do.

As long as don’t have the water on to the shower you can replace the arm and the head without having to have the building water off.

They are all 1/2”.

The showerhead comes with rubber washer to seal against the pipe. You don't need Teflon tape son 😋 (I know double protection right 🙄

Teflon is also a great anti seize. More like triple protection.
