China should stop using the word "Reunification." A Reunification between two parties can only be called a Reunification if BOTH of them love and respect each other, and see each other as friends. The Taiwan issue is a situation where the parties definitely DON'T see each other as friends. If China brings Taiwan under it's control, it will more likely be called a coup or forced takeover. Definitely NOT a reunification. Furthermore, Taiwan will most likely resist China and fight back with it's military if China tries to bring it under control. So this "Reunification" will definitely NOT be peaceful!
