@AbhishekSanyalTGV7 жыл бұрын
Bro, the Rajdhani and Shatabdi (and some other passenger trains) use the German designed LHB coaches, which are now manufactured in India. They are more stable and impact resistant compared to our older ICF models (the blue trains) You can see this 38 second video of India's fastest train - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXOxo3-Phr-CkKs ... Notice the sound. This one is the most stable.

A lot of people have been asking why Pakistan Railways isn't electrified. Pakistan used to have an electrified section (Lahore to Khanewal), but it was abandoned. Currently Pak railways relies fully on diesel locomotives. By 2019, it is expected that Main Line 1 will be fully electrified (i.e. Karachi to Peshawar; 1687 Km) as a part of the China-Pakistan economic corridor project, allowing passenger train speeds up to 160 kmph, and freight train speeds of 100 kmph. This info is absolutely accurate as I am citing this straight from what Pakistan Railway Minister Mr. Khwaja Saad Rafique said in an interview - (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKvKn2poaLaohdE). You may start watching this video from the 25:50 mark. Edit: As of 12th November 2020, work on ML-1 has started slowly. However, the plan will be carried out in phases. The full 1800+ Km route will be completed, electrified, and made ready for passenger operations at 160 Kmph by 2026. Edit#2: As of August 6, 2022, the ML-1 project is going through turbulence due to financial concerns among the Chinese and Pakistani counterparts. Work is yet to start in full swing. Completion date could go up to 2030. Edit#3: As of May 26, 2024, the latest information is that due to some financial challenges in finalizing the deal, there has been a change in the proposed max. speed of the trains after the upgradation of ML-1. The proposed top speed has now been reduced to 140 kmph from 160 kmph to cut project costs. I'm from pak and almost travel allover pak in trains and couple of time in india aswell, no doubt india got the massive railway system and some good service but in pak they went back beacuse of poor government system, now this government doing something good they start the lahore metro railway system aswell,even when i was kid trains was on electric motives between lahore to kanewal almost 3 hundred and something kilometers and then after 10 years they should have to increase it they shut the electirc system and corupt ministers sold even the pools of this system, But anyways i like the last train double decker one its same like sydney's metro trains double decker ones

Good Job, Actually Pak railway is way behind but now current GOV took some solid steps & we are seeing great improvement. Much to be done yet, i.e. bad conditions of civil work at stations, track repair, signal system upgrade.
@AbhishekSanyalTGV9 жыл бұрын
Imran Muhammad Hopefully everything will be fixed before 2020 for both Pak and Ind, bro! Some sections of tracks in India can handle up to 180 kmph but most are fit only for 130 kmph. Our major stations have seen improvements but work still needs to be done. And if we need to run trains at 160-200 kmph, then we'll need to upgrade our signalling system too!
@AbhishekSanyalTGV9 жыл бұрын
***** Aren't you saying the opposite? In major part of south India, I have seen diesel locos. Up to Chennai you can find electric locos, but Kanyakumari, Madurai, and some part of Kerala including the whole Konkan railway is not electrified. Please correct me if I am wrong.

There is no point in comparing speeds as they are the last thing to be seen when it comes to evaluate a rail system. Railways are meant to travel freight and people in a reliable way. So they should be evaluated on those parameters. Speed is an add-on to the system. The basic problem with Pakistan railways was that it has not been able to manufacture a loco which we did in 1955. Also the Chinese and the Koreans have fooled Pakistan railways in complicit with the Pakistani authorities.They had even requested Indian locos on lease but the plan was later shelved.In 1975 we had our first Double Decker train which later became unpopular due to poor financial management and were later brought back in 2010. Operational issues still plagues the Indian Railways even if from the outset it seems highly successful. But we were able to get German LHB technology to manufacture coaches and that made the journey comfortable. Pakistan rails should focus on indigenous building of coaches and railways and restore the confidence people have on railways.
@AbhishekSanyalTGV9 жыл бұрын
+gaurav sawant That's good advise, bro! :) Even I am sure Pakistan can easily build better trains and technology themselves. cheers (y)

5:09 anyone know the advantage of those pakistani rail sleepers.They are not rectangular type pre stressed indian sleepers,looks well designed.Looks like pakistanis are upgrading the tracks to handle 160km/hrs and rail joints to thermit weld.Its only a matter of time they gonna overtake us.
@AbhishekSanyalTGV6 жыл бұрын
It is not so. Pakistan railways is getting an overhaul, but the process is very slow as compared to Indian Railways. One advantage that India has is that it is not dependent on a third party for modernization. India makes its own locomotives and coaches as per the requirement. Pakistan has to buy or give the contract to foreign companies. The projects are therefore very expensive, and modernization is much slower than that of the Indian railways

i noticed that there were electrification of tracks in pakistan in some of the videos, but not found electrical locos chugging the trains, why?
@AbhishekSanyalTGV10 жыл бұрын
Krishna Ryali Actually, electric locos were used in Pakistan, a few years ago. But now they are no longer used. Pakistan Railways only relies on diesel locomotives, as of now. A small section i.e. *Khanewal-Lahore* , which is 206 Km long, used to have electric traction. But the wires, that you saw in the video, don't have any electric flow in them, currently. They have been abandoned.

good work bro btw why is that majority of trains in Pakistan turn on their headlights during the day... jus thought of asking if u know do let me know...
@AbhishekSanyalTGV10 жыл бұрын
hi CHITHrarth SiD . Actually, i have no idea about this. Maybe they do it for the safety of the people walking on the tracks. There is a lot of dust all around, so the people might not see the train coming. Hence, the lights and the horns. And some videos were recorded at dawn, around 6 'o' clock in the morning, when it is still a bit dark, so, the drivers might have thought it best to keep the lights on :)

@AbhishekSanyalTGV10 жыл бұрын
Don't worry. It is actually a new track, that is being laid. Electric trains were used in Pakistan, for commercial services, not long ago. Currently no trains run on electric traction, in Pakistan. But a small stretch of 206 Km, from Lahore to Khanewal, has overhead electric traction. It is no longer electrified tho'.

SIR JUST ONE THING ARENT RAILWAYS IN PAKISTAN ELECTRIFIED.BOTH RAILWAYS ARE ON PAR WITH EACH OTHER BUT PAKISTAN RAILWAYS ARENT ELECTRIFIED ? NA?
@AbhishekSanyalTGV9 жыл бұрын
Sharma Siddhesh Thanks for asking :) Actually, A certain section in Pakistan Railways i.e. Lahore-Khanewal used to be electrified a few years ago when Pakistan Railways had electric locomotives. But they were eventually abandoned. Now Pakistan Railways only has diesel locos. So, although you may have noticed electric wires and poles over tracks in Pakistan, they are not electrified. But plans are being made to run electricity powered locos again :)

+COTTON JETTY I agree it has better service. But I simply referred to the 'Rajdhani' class of trains as a single prestigious entity. I just randomly put the Patna Rajdhani video as it looked awesome!

On social media the count is more . I dunno 70% one is right but i would say 40% only baised on bollywood movies does good business in pakistan . I personally love hollywood. I was watching some luqman same as ziad hamid and so on .kashmir is pain in our arse for so long but its an integral part of india and it will be . I persinally love some pakistani dishes and maybe one day i would be able to taste them in pakistan . Whatever anyone say we can't change our neighbors at least not in present . I m waiting for diamond corridor for bullet trains and if things go right before i expire i will be traveling in it . I m young 24 only so i think i will be able to . God bless India and its all neighbors :)

Lets wait with our fingers crossed . I m living in jabalpur right now but i m basically a bengali from kolkatta and proud my home town is in that corridor so i will be one of the first one to stand in line to get ticket on bullet train before our public ruin the train .Pakistan is indeed our younger brother which curve out of Indian sub continent. One day there will be bullet train from delhi to Lahore( city lord ram's son luv ). Will see you on that train :)

I just obsevered no electrification in Pakistan railways???
@AbhishekSanyalTGV8 жыл бұрын
Bro, Pakistan Railways used to have electric traction earlier. But the electric locos were abandoned and diesel locos took charge of the entire network. Planning is underway to bring back electric locos.
@saumilshah5558 жыл бұрын
+Abhishek Sanyal that's strange , even if desiel would have taken over why would they remove overhead wires.
@AbhishekSanyalTGV8 жыл бұрын
saumil shah No....only a small section of their railways was electrified i.e. Lahore-Khanewal section. Those overhead wires are still there. You can see them here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/epzTgoqpbMR9Y7c

Both countries are same Pakistan can do better but India is also not developed one... In today's world trains are making more than 400 km / hour and we are fighting for 150 that is unfortunate... Mr uploader it is not sin in comparing but since you refused to compare I would not do it...
@AbhishekSanyalTGV9 жыл бұрын
Shivendra Shukla Thank you so much! Whatever you said is very true and I agree with you on all aspects :) And thanks for not comparing. I refused because 'comparing' starts off a KZbin war between the people of the two countries, which I don't like!

Shivendra Shukla 400km pr hour vali trains me 4-5 coch hi hote hai. .hamare yaha trains me kitne sare coches lage hate hai, sath me savari bhi bahut jyada ..to thik hai.
