I've watched quite a few of Howards videos on Fast Draw, and I am totally amazed at his speed and skill. I'd like to see them make a new western movie, and Howard starring in it as the good guy or the gunslinger, who out draws 4 or 5 guys in a gun fight on the streets of Dodge City, or Tombstone! Howard is just amazing!

How abort Bob Mundon, how fast was He comparred to the scooters today ?

Munden was fast, but often had problems with consistency. In the list of major championship winners at www.fastdraw.org/wfda/wfd_champions.html you'll see the names of the title holders. Munden competed in many of those contests in the 60s and early 70s, but he never won any of them. I know a lot of shooters that shot against him in those contests and beat him. His main claim to fame was getting people outside the sport to think he was the best there was, when that was far from the truth.

If you watch Bob, his speed is faster than a lot of these guys to the naked eye. The problem was that he wasn't always timed and wasn't always consistent. When technology caught up, he wasn't as fast. I believe he was the fastest as some have reported he had something in the 170s. He has a list of records even of they won't give him fast draw.

Now the question is. How fast can some one shoot till the record cant be broken any more?
@fastdraw1017 жыл бұрын
There are some that seem to be there already, but then someone works very hard at it and drops it by a few thousandths. The WFDA record of .208 for blank elimination, which is the fastest shot in the sport, is one that's stood for almost 35 year now, so I'd say that's close to the limit.

Howard, what was your fastest draw?
@fastdraw1013 жыл бұрын
Hi Ed. The fastest shot I've ever fired in a contest was a 0.208 in a WFDA style Elimination contest in Oregon using the twisting style, and I shot some .21s and .22s in the same contest that would have backed it up as a record, but it was a non-sanctioned contest so didn't count for world records. If it had been a sanctioned contest it would have tied the 0.208 record currently held by Ernie Hill as the fastest shot ever fired in the sport. My fastest current records on the books are two shots of 0.238 in the Step Back Blank event in the 5' and 8' distances using the twisting style.

@@fastdraw101 Thanks for the reply Howard, and I have to say those speeds are very impressive, it's too bad that didn't count those 2 other draws! I hope you are still competing in the Fast Draw?
