Thank you. My son (11) just purchased a body pillow from Giant Tiger (Niagara Falls Canada). I told him he was not allowed to use it until he had a cover. We could not find one anywhere. After watching this tutorial I checked my stash and found some Bright blue terry towel like material (don't know what it actually was, non stretchy bought from thrift store). 1/2 hour later he now has a cover. It fits great. I did the 63 inch with a 4 inch cuff. Looks great and will keep his new pillow cleaner. We have 2 one year old labs as well. So thanks again for the instructions. I am transitioning from fabric horder to sewist. My husband bought me a Singer C340 for Christmas last year. Another win. Will continue to learn and SEW.

Great video! I just made two covers for my body pillow-- out of my son's old sheets (twin set) that was in great condition still. The first one is cotton and the second is jersey. I made mine envelope-like so the pillows don't fall out. TY for an easy to follow video. :)

I wanted to keep the project simple and beginner friendly for those that want to make one but don’t have a serger and are just learning. I may do another in the future showing how to do the French seam option and also with my serger. 😊

Looks nice. If you add a flap on the inside it looks nice and the pillow doesn't try to escape..lol.

How big was your pillow. My son wants one for his 20” X 54 inch pillow. He lives in a different city and I just have the measurements of his body pillow. Would you suggest using a 2 yard piece of fabric? I have never done this before so I guess looking for measurements? I am sure it would be easier if I had the pillow.

Hey brother, I have a very similiar pillow and have also never done this before. So wondering the same thing. Using a 2 yard fabric, let me know please if what you did if you did do it

I used a 1/4” seam allowance but a 5/8 seam allowance would be best. 😊
