Bungie thought it was gonna be a nostalgic nod to the OG loot cave but it was a nod to how much of a grind the game is and always has been. Spending hours grinding a quest in the same area, where engram drops have blatantly been nerfed into the ground, isn’t fun and sure ain’t the 10yr celebration vibes they think they are giving their loyal players.

You can get the new light quest from the quest kiosk in the tower. Then run the new light until you get to the COLD BOOT step. It takes about 10 mins to do

It was rather laborious, the Ogre didn't drop shit, another little tip make sure you have spare slots otherwise you know the engram goes straight to the posty.

This isn't an "Event". It's just something to chase. Events have far more depth, not some triumphs and title.

I did everything in this video and the yellow bars are not spawing. What am i doing wrong. Im on cold boot and it tells me to "eliminate hive" and once it hits 100% the spwans seem pretty slow and i very rarely am seeing a yellowbar knight

This does work well to get an endless supply of orange bar enemies (they are NOT yellow bars). Anyone who says this is fast, though, is either extremely lucky or full of shit. This still took me hours and the drop rate of engrams is still brutally low. GUIDE: Once you get to the Skywatch in the mission Cold Boot, stand on the ritual plate, shoot the crystals, then kill an orange bar knight with a sword. The mission will say "get to the array"- don't. Just stay in Skywatch. These orange bar enemies continue to respawn as long as you stay there. They're called "revenant knights". There are 6 of them. They respawn as soon as all 6 are killed. There are 3 that roam around near the helicopters, and 3 that roam around near the red building. Best place to stand is the small rocky raised platform with the trees around it, between the helicopter zone and the red building. You get a view of all 6 knights here. I sniped, but eventually swapped to polaris lance. You could also just run around to each of them, dick around with the swords- doesn't really matter. As long as you're killing them you're good. Be careful of the one who spawns on top of the red building. He will book it INTO the building and stay there, preventing other knights from spawning til he's killed. If your knights seem stuck and aren't spawning he's probably the culprit. Sneaky fucker.

I have not been able to purchase the FS yet and then you can't get to rank 8 in order to complete the Triumps for the Seal...so if you are.below rank 8 .dont bother to grind for the engrams!

It was easily doable solo grinding for lv 8 before but now blocked by a required 2 player activity. I normally just do lv 10 but the last season haven't bothered past 7 due to this factor.
