This is my favourite slam of all of Serena's wins. She was not playing around. The tennis was out of this world, Crazy stuff.

Schiavone is a very dangerous opponent to face in the 1st round of a slam. Serena played very well in this tournament. The only blip was when she failed to serve out the second set in the finals. But she showed how mentally tough she is by regrouping and winning the 3rd set convincingly. Azarenka was also excellent. Some of the rallies she won in the finals were unreal. I really miss those times.

I remember i was in 8th grade when she played this slam and i was streaming this slam my stomach was turning when she lost that 2nd set to Azarenka but the QUEEN turned it around i miss her sooo much ❤❤❤

When I say it was nothing but a pleasure to see her live. Oh my God I remember seeing her live for the first time 2013 US open I was like yo she is no joke then again for like the 15 U.S. Open and then the 19 n 20 When I say, I don’t think I’ll ever go to the US open again because it’s literally pointless

No, in those years she had embarrassing losses to Makarova, Razzano, Stephens, Lisicki in slams. Would not have happened to 2002/03 Serena.

Got to see her play the same year in Cincinnati where she played Li Na... Also saw her practice and got to see how hard she hits the ball. It was amazing!

Shie did hit the ball hard,but she coupled it with consummate skill. That's where the real thrill was, in watching her astounding SKILL! After all, Venus actually had the record for the fastest serve for a good long while. Serena's was just a tad lower, but her Placement of that serve, her perfect service motion, her overhead lobs, passing shots on the line, etc. That is what won her all those majors - on top of her strength and athleticism.

What world no. 1 (or WTA player PERIOD) can regularly hit the top spin lob WINNERS that Serena routinely used to win huge points during MULTIPLE of her majors. The variety is totally absent from Swiatek, Sabalenka. Barty had fabulous variety but STILL never lobbed or didn’t have a great one. Yet another aspect of Serena that basically no one acknowledges or appreciates.

Now I hate Williams as much as anyone but man, her ground game here is a sight to behold. I’ve almost never seen a female player hit that well off the baseline. Her serve wasn’t clicking in this tournament but her ground game and fitness were at their peak.

First I'm a white guy and have never really followed tennis... I apologize to Serena and Venus Williams.... Have no Idea but I was told Venus had died a while ago and have felt sorry for Serena ever since, again I apologize an hope I dont bring up any difficult things or memories to their Family. Off an On threw my life I have seen how Serena has up-held herself and I have always Respected and Admired Her for WHO she IS- DOES- and HAS Become as A Woman. I JUST have seen the Interview where She was Honest about Not playing against a Man because she would be Beat. That is why I'm commenting, SERENA was/is so Humble to do that is a low Gester to Herself Serena is (from what I've watched) (Serena is the most for tennis) the Greatest women's tennis player of all Time. I would hope people would leave Her Alone and just let Her be Her: "The Best at what SHE Does" = Whatever that may be. Best Wishes to Serena. WelderX
