People leave the video at the tutorial, thinking wiring the bottom is easy. Lol. lmao even. Weave 8 wires through a 4x4 without a delay or short circuits. Best of luck! There are some very smart redstone people out there. It could still use improvement, it looks like some of the comparators may not actually be doing anything. (Shame I waited a year after designing it to make a video)

I would not assume they leave thinking this is easy. They leave a) because they think ok cool concept, but I don't want to have to steer on the ice because I'll start spinning out of control (because many people have a hard time figuring out how to stop that) or b) save the video to the watch later list because they'll check it out when they have time because they are the people that usually just download a schematic.

I had tried to create something with the same design months ago but ran into this exact issue when wiring, kudos!

Thank you! It's really nice to get community feedback on some of these builds I spent so much time figuring out. This video should have been made like a year ago haha

I remember you showing me this once and I can officially vouch for the fact that yes, it is VERY convenient.

It looks simple, a little ugly, but I'm very proud of it

I needed this for my nether hub. Thanks... Only catch is my pathways are four wide and I'm using flower pots on the side. But I'm sure I can make it work.

That'll make it even easier! More space to work with.

I was thinking to somthing similar but you took it to an other level, good job 👍 I will use for sure once I will extend my nether ice way....My Ice way is 1 block large so I think I will make it 2 blocks near the intersection so I can move left or rigth 🖖

Thanks! I tossed and turned at night off and on for a few weeks trying to figure out this one. Then never made a video on it for a year lol.

Hey, i'm taking a bit of time to tell you my thought and experience with this design. Let me first say how great the idea is, currently using it on my multiplayer server, i plan to rework my whole highway system with this. I did few arrangement : - In order to power 2 pistons you need 2 target blocks only, you can choose the upper one or bottom one, i use upper one to go straight and bottom one to turn. It save 2 blocks without changing the redstone and give you a bit more room to elevate your redstone circuit to make sure they do not cross each other. Also in your video you hug the wall big time reducing your speed. I have 5000 blocks to travel between 2 intersections so i need to go straight as much as possible (i use piston to place the boat perfectly) - If you have too much speed the string does not detect the player going through it, it happend to me even in singleplayer. I decided to use few full blocks to slow down my speed before coming to an intersection (the number i use is different for each speed but 3 full block are enough for a 5000 straight highway) Doing so i can remove the double hookwire string combination only leaving the closest one. I would be interested in having your experience and take on my modifications.

O got one question, does this configuration can work on a 3 block wide ice road?

you'd have to change it up a little but in theory yes.

ty! Took me forever to work out. My only worry is that doesn't come across. seems trivial but it's been very fiddly to perfect. I have a friend who is working on an even better design now.

So basically, if I'm not mistaken, if you hold to the left side you keep going straight but if you hold right side you turn right? And why is that? How do you go left?
@DoctorPlasmaMC9 ай бұрын
You hold to the right side to *STOP*, and then you can turn and go left too. I probably could have made that clearer.

@@DoctorPlasmaMC ah no problem your video is quite fantastic it was just that I was missing that, thanks tho :) I'll probably build this on my nether roof

what is the target looking blocks? are they just any random full sized block?
@DoctorPlasmaMC9 ай бұрын
targets are targets
@AttilaMatolcsy9 ай бұрын
They are target blocks. The purpose is so that the redstone running next to it gets redirected into it and thus powering the pistons as well. If they weren't target blocks, the redstone would not power the pistons. Added to the game in version 1.16 (Snapshot 20w09a)
