Fast Managarmr Taming Guide :: Ark : Survival Evolved Tips and Tricks

In this video I show you how to tame a Managarmr. Surprisingly, they aren't all that difficult, well except for the fact they can do a disappearing act when they boost into a Mammoth. That was a really weird thing that happened very consistently. I would hope that there was something wrong with my installation of Ark, but I googled it and it has been happening since Managarmr were introduced in the extinction expansion. As far as I can tell, it doesn't happen with tamed Managarmr; at least, I couldn't induce it to happen.

Tecorsuh, you should make a difference between narcotic and bio toxin, i have a tip, to count on biotoxin youll only need to count on half narcotic, since narcotic gives you 40 torpor, while biotoxin gives you 80 torpor, like if you need 50/hour biotoxin only need 25/hour

Anyone having troubles....I know I kept getting overran by wolves and other creatures so the bear traps caught them instead. My advice clear out the area lay down one stone dino gate way,make the Managarmr follow you then walk through the doorframe and quickly turn around,he just be standing there,quickly place a second stone doorframe over his mid section close to the wings and the rest is pretty straight forward

Another tip place a bear trap(or a few) in the center of the gate ways that way you have extra time to trap it just in case you’re not quick enough.

There are a lot of stuck Mana in Lost Island, probably tamed 4 of em at high level. They just kinda hovering up above, doing nothing except growling when we shot them with tranqs.

Mutton spoils really fast and doesn’t stack, so it’s not really the first choice to tame dinos, besides the Dino you get mutton from (the ovis) is really rare.

If you put mutton in your flyer it last much longer. Just make sure you have regular meat in him or he'll eat the mutton. Then just fly to the thing your taming and feed him

There’s an easier way to make a trap just use 4 Dino gates and when it lands in front of you u place it over it’s body and make sure one of the gates are just in front of hi back legs so he will get stuck

just tamed one, heres the story. made a trap. and after about 6 manas that died to mammoths and stuff I found another one which when it agroed on me it got stuck in the air glitched. knocked it out and boom. easy tame

Okay, this is ark, things always go wrong, my main question is, if im wearing the most basic of flak armour, how many hits could I tank from a mana and still be okay? Like here you are running around just taming it yourself without a tame to ride, so can a uber-noob with a tranq gun and flak armor still what you are doing now if they maybe have a few big bear traps?

I just want to beat ark the island so I can start on the other maps. I’m almost to the point of breeding for the boss fights, and just got into the ocean. But man it’s hard getting tames, especially when there’s a bug that stops Dino’s from respawning. I don’t like to cheat but I had to use commands to get them to respawn.

that trap is ridiculous. if you get one next to you, place a small gateway over its neck, then another behind its front legs. it cannot escape and will jump continuously, emptying its stam and draining its food making for an almost instant tame

4:20 - 4:50 "Using behemoth gates, while easy to set up, is very resource intensive. I’ve also seen a method using regular stone gateways. Trapping the neck of the managarmr inside of the first gateway, and placing a second gateway directly in front of its hind legs. I’m not particularly fond of this method because it is risky, unreliable, and you need to break one or both of the gateways to free the managarmr."

why did you suggest to use raw prime and not mutton? mutton is a faster tame, gives better taming effectiveness, and unless you are limited to only playing on extinction, it is FAAARRRRR easier to obtain and hold onto raw mutton. cryopods are stupid cheep to make and sheep are all over the place in rag highlands. just go there with some pods and cakes, tame them, pod them, and upload them. at that point, you are carrying around portable pack of mutton that take an entire month to spoil.
