Just got the Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus a couple weeks ago (8qt), and the bottom is FLAT! Good for searing. It also has a thick bottom on the insert and handles! I buy what's on sale (usually also in season too, right?) too! 👍 Unfortunately, I'm pickier now, because I'm eating keto. I may try what you did here with turnips and celery instead of potatoes and most of the carrots. BTW, I think it wants some heavy cream. 😀

Carbage Man Try radishes as a sub for potatoes - they work well also, as does cauliflower
@CarbageMan5 жыл бұрын
@@KatyInNH I'll try them. Do like turnips, though. I'll probably add cauliflower, but it cooks down fast, so probably won't pressure-cook it.

Just made this last night, cutting the recipe in half for the two of us. It went together quickly and dinner was on the table in no time. The ingredients and seasonings were perfect and made a savory gravy/broth. Just before setting the browned thighs on top of the veggies, I stirred in a zucchini cut in big chunks b/c I had one that needed to be used up. The dish was true comfort food--thanks, Flo and Dude!

I'm totally old enough to remember the Fonz....and I love this recipe as I'm a huge fan of chicken thighs!
@RetRNmamawMe5 жыл бұрын
Lovely, simple recipe. I too appreciate uniformity with re to sizes (ocd for me....I think..lol :) The chicken thighs are truly the succulent pieces of the yard-bird. Just juicier. This mamaw & papaw don't fight for the breast meat anymore. On another note... A helpful hint here; I have finally discovered that when using smaller breastmeat pieces for soups, stir fry, chicken n dumplings, etc, that giving the white meat a very slight coating of cornstarch before cooking prevents the meat from getting dry. My family was amazed at the huge difference that this small added detail made😉. Thanks for this delicious, nutritious recipe demo! You and Dude are priceless! Just good fun folks and great cooking tips! Enjoy your children's performances😍❣We will be attending a 13yr old granddaughter's violin concert this Tuesday and CAN'T WAIT!🎼🎻‼️ God bless you and "Fonzie" and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you ❣🎄❣

Almost 100k subscribers!!! Wtg Flo and Dude. I want to say this video encapsulates the essence of your channel, Flo... delicious food, simple ingredients, easy preparation. And, an added bonus, your discussion of buying what’s on sale! For you, and me, I know that means buy what’s on sale if that’s what I typically use. A sale isn’t a deal if I’m buying it just because it on sale. I rarely use the sauté mode but I love chicken thighs so usually do them in a pan. This video inspires me to try it your way, along with the vegetables. Btw, the parsley moment.... so cute. Another btw, Dude... does Flo not have the sweetest laugh? Your a witty guy, I know you enjoy hearing it. Okay I’ve written enough that hopefully most people have gone elsewhere. I picked up on “the day you’re having” comment. Maybe it’s related to the strings concert, I don’t know. But, following so closely to your, paraphrased, you are destined for more video, I cannot help but think the two are related. I hope not. So, just to keep things short, you enrich the lives of way more than 90k+ subscribers every day. That’s huge. That’s a huge thing and I know each and every one of us love you for the extraordinary effort it takes to do what you do for us. Thank you Flo, you’re wonderful.

You are my kind of people, specifically, budget minded, peaceful, real as your background displays, us guys usually don’t have descriptive palate’s but i sure appreciate Guy’s take and critique on the dish. OsakaRose - Yes it does and thank you! My altitude is exactly on the line. Most cook times others use don’t do the same for me. I’ve found with Flo’s recipes I have to either increase two minutes or decrease by one. Just depends on what’s cooking. 😉

The brand is Norwex and is only available through a consultant or buying through their website. If you are in Canada, you can purchase through me at www.flolum.norwex.biz. Otherwise, I'm sure you can find a consultant in your area. We all enjoy the water filtered through it. We find it sweeter than tap and bottled water. It uses magnesium technology. We even take it camping and on the road with us. Thanks!

Hi Guys! Great video as always. I think the reason that chicken "spatters" so much is that all commercially produced chicken is injected with brine, allegedly to keep the meat fresher for longer, but it also adds weight, and will cause spatter when fried. Take Care.
