Fast Trains on High Speed One (HS1) Near Boxley, Kent

Roughly an hour spent at a pretty much line-side spot on High Speed 1 (HS1) in the Kent Countryside just outside of Maidstone near the village of Boxley.

This video features a collection of footage filmed over the course of roughly an hour at this quiet and peaceful spot in the Kent countryside, located between the village of Boxley and the large town of Maidstone. Here you can get pretty much trackside to one of the fastest sections of High Speed One - the UK's first proper high-speed line (opening fully in 2007) where trains are able to run in excess of 125 mph (201km/h)! The Southeastern Services pass at roughly 140mph (225km/h), whilst the Eurostar services go as fast as 186mph (300km/h) as they race between London and the Channel Tunnel!
Only three international Eurostar services are seen in this video, all three connecting London (England) and Paris (France), but it was worth the wait to see them when they turned up! This is especially so for the second Eurostar service seen which was a 1990s Class 373 'E300' train, seen thundering past and making its very distinctive traction motor noise! To liven the initial clip up a little more, a loud horn can be heard as a Class 395 Southeastern Highspeed service raced past. This was an unexpected horn, as I was not expecting to hear any given how fast the trains were passing.
I made sure to keep my distance from the boundary fencing as the trains passed given the immense speeds at which they were travelling.
