I appreciate you showing your setup!! I just transitioned to hybrid work for marketing. I do a lot of video and photo work with industrial laser technology (engraving machines). My work is sending me a laser engraver to do engraving videos. I converted a small 11ft x 10ft bedroom into a filming space. My c-stands are so bulky! Definitely getting varipoles for the laser workstation filming area. Thanks bro!

Glad it was helpful! I think based on what you say in your comment above, the set up with auto poles that I have is ideal for your needs.... The fact you don't have cables and stands, and you can walk around is really amazing...

You have just saved me a lot of Drilling on the wall with that Manfroto Autopole. I needed a Permanent setup that I can leave for all my Videos. THANK YOU.
@SamuelSotiega9 ай бұрын
Glad you found the video helpful!! I use the autopole setup now all the time and it is so, so much better (and spacious!). And yes, not having to drill is very, very good because one day you decide to do things one way, a few months later you change your mind and you donlt need to worry about the walls looking like Swiss cheese!
@tshidikhunou9 ай бұрын
Funny you mention Swiss Cheese, am based in Switzerland. Current setup means I have to always keep taking everything down. And now I just ordered my clamps and the Autopole.
@henrytheturnip9 ай бұрын
Be warned, autopoles can pull the paint off your wall if you leave them up for too long. Big problem if you're a renter. Slip a gym sock over each end first will help.
@tshidikhunou9 ай бұрын
I would rather deal with paint issues than Holes. Plus, our place is built with Concrete, so I would need a special drill.
@SamuelSotiega9 ай бұрын
@@tshidikhunou Then what I showed you would/ will be perfect! it is reliable and adjustable, which also helps. If you get a few of those poles, you can use them for overhead filming, or traditional filming. You can also mount vertically right up to a corner and then clamp whatever you want to it. They have so many uses.

Cutting to yourself at the desk, wIth the lighting as it was, you looked very pink. But great video showcasing your lighting setup and how to... Awesome!
@SamuelSotiegaАй бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback. The pink/ red is something I am struggling with because of the painting in the background. I am still working on the grade. Because I use our home's living room, I can't just be taking the painting down and out it up all the time. One day, if I can afford a dedicated space/ studio, I ca address that. There is the option or painting over the painting at the back, but my wife made that painting while experimenting with liquid paint and if I wang to sleep on my bed everyday, I better not even try that!

@@SamuelSotiega I hear you. I have the same issue at home. I'm toying with the Lastolite wrapa round idea, 10 mins to put up and down.

This is a great video for any home studio or even podcast setup. Nice one Sam 💪💯 Do you have a cost breakdown for this? Would be useful to know!
@SamuelSotiega9 ай бұрын
Well, it all depends on how many auto-poles you use really and how many lights. I left links in the video description for all the items in the video. It requires an initial investment, like everything, but this equipment last for decades. Auto-poles have been around for over 30 years and will still be around 30 years from now...

This is really great and a big setup, but it is too much, when you have to setup and disassemble every time you shoot. How long time do you use to setup? I also have a space where is setup every time and it takes time, but if you like to setup and change stuff it’s great. If you don’t have too much time (as I don’t), it’s not that good. I would like to get a dedicated space and then I would mount stuff without stands
@SamuelSotiega5 ай бұрын
The first time it took me about an hour while I worked out the place where to best put the poles. Nowadays it is about 15-20 minutes as I do everything on auto pilot… The more you do it, the more automatism you develop..

Hey at 9:44 when you screw on the attachment to the super clamp and extend, which extension arm is that if you dont mind sharing ? thanks.
@SamuelSotiega7 ай бұрын
That is a DJI gimbal extension rod amzn.to/3yqrn02 but any other will do too! You gotta be resourceful and come up with solutions… 😀 You can add a 1/4” male to male adaptor at the bottom and you can screw then onto the clamp’s 1/4” thread.
@MrAlexAcosta237 ай бұрын
Truly appreciate that, and very much so! I see what you did after, added a 1/4 screw to a hotshoe the from there you can use any mount head, came out great!
