I have to say it's always impressive seeing the quality of your people, your process and your products. My heart was racing by the end of the video due to the energy and enthusiasm displayed! Well done Paul, but more so well done to your people! It appears to be a great relationship.

Karl Thank you for the kind words, I have the most amazing people in the world working with me but I must be very honest with all of you....I am a very demanding person I demand excellence and continuous improvements from everyone I’m not a pushover. At the same time my joy in life is to see people uncover their potential and feel better about themselves their work and their life.

This is wonderful, unbelievable! I applaud the openness and transparency of sharing this! As a consumer, I cannot imagine most of the companies producing in this market would be willing to share so much. Your people are wonderful, the facility is top notch, and the sharing is incredible. Thank you!! All of your market and competitors need to worry about your approach and your willingness to invite your consumers into your shop! Well done!

Toyota created Lean, and they have always been pretty open about everything they do, as a matter of fact if I am correct one can take a tour of their plant and see everything. Challenge is to implement Lean into already established plant... but really implement it. Tools used by lean are not hard to grasp, 5s, process improvement, kaizan etc... it's the philosophy of lean that is very hard to be implemented. Most companies fail, or never get there in first place.

Thanks so much for your kind words! We love sharing all we know about Lean. And yes, we used to offer Lean tours, but now we get a number of requests each day. So our goal is to share everything via videos!

Love this. Demonstrates (1) people can be proud of what they do (2) and only the people doing the work know what drives them crazy (3) but management has to support and celebrate their efforts (4) so people keep finding more ways to improve in a never ending reach for perfect and (5) when everyone shaves a few seconds the company performs better! Yes!!

You are not alone. I hear this so much that a while back, I made a video response to this. In this video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/epm1m59_oM9lhNk) I discuss how to make lean effective by using your sphere of influence. Don't push lean on anyone. Get good at it yourself. Get your team good at it and they will begin to notice

Maybe it's just my cell. When I open the sight on my phone it doesn't seem to work right. On the laptop it feels great and well organized. Maybe it's just me, when I'm on my cell I'm stressed out trying to get something I needed 3 days ago and when I'm home not working I'm relaxed and just browsing enjoying life. Lol. I need a vacation. Either way I love you guys.

Its so easy to figure out why you guys have such good ideas. For the industry after watching how smart Many of your employees are at thinking outside the box Fast Cap has been one of my Go To Companies. For many years of being in the Architectual Woodworking industry Out on jobsites so many people would ask me. Where. Can i get this and that. And i would tell them about your company and show them products i used i actually. Managed the installation department and would keep several of your products in my company van. I would sell to my crew at my cost as a convienence i personally loved. The. Tape measures and the plastic scribes. The scribes are great because they do not leave any marks on a finish painted wall or millwork the tapes are easy to read. With the white background and. Are. Nice to have. The pencil sharpener and the area to write measurements down to speed up cutting in the field i had. Convinced almost 40 other installers to use. Both of those tools as well. As company wide. We used thousands of the self adhering. Screw caps and. Custom colored ones we. Made with pvc. Edgeband and your kit that. Always. Kept our installs nicer and more professional than. Competitors in the same feild I'm willing to. Bet a inexpensive automatic. Machine or device a millwork company. Could purchase. To make their own Colered caps. From edgebanding. Would be a. Good seller. For you guys instead of. Painting. Your white. Ones to what. Color you need or want to match ! We liked the wood grain ones. Allot for Stalingrade jobs as very often you. Can use a stain pen. To. Color them onsite on very big jobs we would have our finisher do them in house and send them. Out to our job site with. The millwork ? Keeping. Plenty of. Raw ones on hand. In case of a shortage. Or a different. Color product. A installer could. Make up what he needed

Only thing I don’t love about 2p-10 is the aerosol can is SUPER messy!! It’s far to powerful to use anywhere near finished surfaces. Even in a tiny squirt bottle the spray is still pretty messy. It would be helpful to just have it in the same squirt bottle as the glue with the really fine tip imo.
Does anyone know where you can get the material cart showing at 9:12 ?

Wow, im curious, are your employees on a piecework structure, or do you just encourage this kind of innovation in work space efficiency generally? I've spent the last 15 years in 3 different piecework structured jobs where i did exactly this until there was simply nothing left to modify i my environment.

Absolutely love your FastCap videos and great attitude Paul! It is very apparent how infectious this is at your place of work :-D I've been working with these systems since earning my M.B.A. in the 2000's and our team is currently working on scaling up and automating tedious or repetitive aspects of our production system. You and your team are an inspiration to many, but especially us! :-D May you, your family, and friends all stay happy, safe and efficient especially with COVID-19 and beyond. We are located just outside of Syracuse, NY. If you are ever in the area, perhaps for another Ironman, we would love to chat. Perhaps we can even do a collaborative video :-). Best regards, Christian, Founder of Peregrinus Solutions www.peregrinusS.com Once again awesome video, so many improvements for an already amazing operation :-D

I prefer standing at my desk, my varidesk is my best friend. I can sit if I'm completely worn out, but otherwise I can stand. It's a lot better for you, most people have terrible posture and are slowly causing irreversible damage to themselves by slouching all day long.
