I am trying to loose my gut once and for all. Been stuck with me all my life. My issue is mainly my impulsive desire to over eat calories after working out. But I am getting a better grip at that. Do high intensity cardio after weight training but keep it short and on rest days go for duration on cardio, eat alot of protein you can still put on so much muscle and lean out body fat, fasted morning cardio on rest days always hits and speeds up metabolism throughout the day.

Depends on what cardio you want. There‘s runner/marathon type cardio, there‘s high intensity cardio like in combat sports boxing, mma etc. And then there‘s cardio for bodybuilding. But every human should do a little bit of cardio daily.

This is what I am slowly ramping back up to and the simple tactic of eating then getting up and doing something 15-20 minutes afterward for at least half an hour. It can be the laundry, swinging around nunchucks, the dishes and other chores etc. I just know it gets your metabolism cranked up really well.

Why 20 minutes and not 30?
@swingonthespiral Жыл бұрын
Well one reason is that endurance cardio increases free radicals in the body and ages you quicker. Another is that there are eventually diminishing returns. It's all about getting enough to reduce your resting heart rate. Many are finding 10 minutes of intense cardio, or 20 of moderate is the sweet spot.
