Faster FMS P51 1700mm Red Tails Mustang w/Upgrades

Super flying very smooth, I am still waiting for my 1700 p51, I have bought the eflight 470 kv motor to hot the p51 up abit..

400kv would be the highest i would go. The 360kv 5060 size is plenty good speed.

I upgraded my 1700 P-51 with a Tacon 400...400kv but did not increase the pitch, still concerned whether the prop assembly will take the added RPM's....only a maiden so far, waiting for better weather

It will hold as long as you didn't over tighten and put lock tight. Use a little CA instead. Lock tight are not meant to contact plastic and the chemicals will interact with plastic to weaken it.

I have Master Airscrew on speed dial. Could I bother you for the pitch you upgraded to, and now that you’ve had the plane for a while with the increased ESC, would you go with a larger prop?

I believe it's a 17x9..with the higher KV motor. I would not go with larger prop. It flies just right with it. You do the zip tie mod if you want more pitch.

I switched to a hobbywing 100 amp when I increased the prop pitch.
