I had one and it was the most fun bike I ever owned. Quick, fast enough,comfortable and dependable. If I find a mint example I will definitely buy it.

Couldn’t agree more man! Out of all my bikes it was always the funnest little bike to ride. I had to sell it recently to cover some home expenses but if I ever see one out there again it will be mine. Ride safe!

I’m trying to buy a 1980 Kz 550c LTD tomorrow. It was the same bike I had when I was 20. It’s museum quality Witt 4,282 miles on it. Original saddle!

That’s incredible man! Grab that up while you can. I will never sell this bike, it has sooo much character when I ride it. Let me know how the bike works when you get it man.

Sweet video man, love the energy. Picking up one of these tomorrow for 500 bucks that needs the carbs cleaned, or so the current owner says. Excited to learn how to work on it and get to learning how to ride! Subbed

Thanks I appreciate that. Yeah, I'm tucked away on the eastern coast of Canada in New Brunswick. It was a great little bike, they just keep going and are so much fun to put around on. Enjoy yours, and don't sell it if you got it for a great deal. Ride safe!

I have this same bike, though its the standard not the LTD version, and I absolutely love it. So simple, raw, nimble and easy to ride and work on. The only downside of this bike are the TK carbs which make the bike very cold blooded. Once you get em all dialed in this bike is a real treat and has plenty of USABLE power. I hate dudes that brag about bigger CC bikes with 100+hp, like okay dude have fun either using only 10% of your bikes power or running from the police. I'm sure they'll be glad they have all that power when they're lane splitting in traffic all the time lol.

Amen! Right on man. You’re so right in all those areas. I had to sell it last summer and I’m missing it right now, it was my all around bike I didn’t mind riding first thing in the spring. Now I’m waiting for brake parts for my vtx. Wish I kept it!

Awesome Video man! I just picked up an 82 kz 550 and was wondering if you had a digital manual or had a good recommendation on where to get one!

What cables did you buy for the throttle and clutch that weren’t 500 feet long like the originals?
@nickandmotorcycletime524610 ай бұрын
I actually just used the original ones. They curved a bit but worked fine with the drag bars.
