Reminds me of starting out racing that absolute thirst for seat time. ‘Will it do two laps?’ That right there is the epitome of what makes a racer in my opinion. The depth of the porcelain inside the sparkplug is the largest factor in heat range, protrusion less so. Colder plugs the porcelain is very shallow, hotter plugs the porcelain is very deep.
