I can't believe I've not seen anyone else do this before now. I had a hairbrain idea to do this with a 3.8L/4T combo out of a W-body GM car (Grand Prix, Olds Intrigue, etc.). To keep things light and fun, a simple tube frame. Never got out of the pencil drawing stage.

David, Its your Pedal. Check for frayed wires right at the Terminal Pins. I've got the same issue right now on my ls3 Nova. Gun it, then dead pedal. I have to disconnect battery for it to come back.

Would fuel injection w/o an alt cause that bog? It would seem that only 12 vs 14+ volts could be a problem.

yup. in this case im thinking it might be the e-throttle system... but having low voltage can cause tons of weird issues. Its kind of like having a bad ground-it'll show up in the most random places

yeah stock ecu does not like voltage swings on the dbw throttle/pedal. ironically it would have codes stored if they weren't all disabled. 100% the same issue causing WOT when they crank it up.

It needs a cable throttle body virtually no issue unless somthing really stupid

Then you have to go to an x24 crank and convert the whole harness to gen 3 with a gen 3 pcm, the gen4 stuff works fine they just need to learn what they’re doing, probably has the wrong pedal or something’s not happy in the tune torque management or driver demand tables being weird, you can delete all of it out of the tune so the throttle works directly like a cable throttle instead of chasing the torque curve like they’re designed to do

Roadkill fashion it needs a bigger fuel cell, road trip worthy. Duct some air in the front of the bed on the sides and tuck the intercoolers in down on the sides. Tuck the bed back on maybe on a lift set up to use it like a hood?
