I like how you can actually see Barry’s development in this scene. It’s obvious that Barry’s learned from his mistakes of Flashpoint and when he didn’t try hard enough to stop Caitlin from helping Deathstorm out.

It’s like flash creates one flashpoint that brings about a great villains he tries to change things back to normal despite the fact he can’t reverse some stuff then the very next he goes in for another flashpoint again that’s exactly what Caitlin is doing

He's smart and when he uses his head he does good stuff and when he doesn't use his brain he f's up. My point was more frost died directly because of caitlyn tried to bring back Ronnie creating deathstorm, then tries to use Barry’s parents as an excuse to justify bringing her back despite that resulting in Cisco’s brother, and HR’s death, as well as nearly killing iris. It just seems really uncharacteristically stupid to try and resurrect a loved one that died because of your last attempt at resurrecting a loved one. And Barry was fully right shutting her down like this (she’ll still do it though cause these characters never seem to learn their lesson).

I know Barry just wanted to make sure Caitlin doesn’t end up doing something she’d regret as she just literally went through the same thing with Deathstorm & it cost her sister, but I don’t know… I understand completely why Barry acted the way he did but despite his good intentions that seemed a bit of an extreme move to make on one of your best friends, especially when their not in the best mind-space. Maybe he could had a team intervention first with everyone trying to convince her this isn’t the way to handle her grief and that Frost probably wouldn’t want her to do this. I know that move will both most likely put a big dent in their friendship & come back and bite him in the ass… as I think that just made Caitlin more determined and will send her to a point where she definitely won’t be able to come back from.

As much as Barry was right, the way that he went on to destroy Caitlin’s work was a bit much. Even if he and the team found out what Caitlin was doing all of this time, she was going to try to bring Frost back with or without their help, I feel like. And Barry knows what it’s like to wanna try to bring people back that he’s love and lost. He did that when his father was killed by Zoom in Season 2, having to bring back both of his parents, and Barry had to pay the price with creating Flashpoint and that changed everything. It affected everybody’s lives drastically. And while Barry’s scenario with Flashpoint and Caitlin trying to brink Frost back with just science is not the exact same circumstances, but if Caitlin were to pull all of this off, what would it cost her? Her soul, her body, she would end up going to the dark side and becoming a villian. Which is not what Team Flash wants to happen, and I know for a fact it’s not what Frost would have wanted for Caitlin. And I know everybody grieves in their own ways, but Caitlin has really dipped her toe into the dark side a little bit. And my heart does break for Caitlin, it really does. She’s been through so much loss in her life that she can’t seem to catch a break. And I would hate to see her turn into Killer Frost because, she hurting so much. I just want her to be happy and have peace. But since this whole thing happened with Barry destroying her work, I have a feeling that Caitlin becoming Killer Frost is about to come into fruition.
