Really glad you are making time for KZbin content again, missed it. Here in South-Africa, we had small little cars, Fiat Uno and it came in a special model with a Turbo, that was a rad little car, now, there was a guy that did robot racing with this little car and he had an extra 5th injector in the fueling system, just that one extra injector made a real difference to that little Turbo motor.

The cooling is a big reason carbs can sometimes make more power than fuel injection. With port injection there just isn’t much time for the fuel to cool the air. F1 was using injectors above the stacks for a while. Pro stock also lost power when they had to go fuel injection and had to remove the big hood scoops because the intake air was so much hotter. So, they were using a spray bar in the inlet to try and cool the air back down.

My cousins race Mod-Lites in Arkansas and Louisiana. People who race these take them very seriously. It's supposed to be a fun class,but you can spend a ton of money on them very quickly especially if you want to do well.

Legends run either a spec 700ish cc or an fj1100. I have a dwarf car that I run with the modlites in indiana with a 1000cc gsxr same engine thats in that. Weight minimum is 1325# hence the 1325 on the side of the hood.
