Awesome to see this! On full E untouched blower (Except 2.4" pulley), Longtubes, Cold air intake, and supporting fuel mods I got a 150 whp gain through a completely different tuner. Cant wait to see what you could do on my zl1 once I add a cam.

Interesting I really need to take my car up there. My Zl1 similar mods but with a 2.45 upper and DSX auxiliary only made 625 on a Mustang dyno. Has a fat spot between 3-4k rpm bogs down bad. Need a retune.

Well all that is taken care of brother. The 5in intake especially with the dyno fans is a bit pesky because y you have to treat it like it has a cam so a little more aiflow and slightly higher idle and stabilize the spark gets it licked.
@Turbogto_guy3 күн бұрын
@@eriklarson9137 actually I do. I built turbo setups, engines, port cylinder heads, tune, weld, powder coat, can run a cnc lathe/mill, own a manual lathe and mill, tig, mig, stick and plasma cutter. I also rebuild transmission and rear ends, transfer cases. I might know a think or two. Might.

What kind of power can you safely make on a stock internals lsa? My pops has a 12 Z with a cam, injectors, 2.55, headers ect. He’s contemplated at ported blower and a lower crank pulley but is nervous. His is an auto. Do you remote tune? I have a dyno I can rent and my own hp cable ect.

Why not swap in a 450 or 525 pump? Is it a bunch of labor on that car?
@spazz9543 күн бұрын
Needs to upgrade the lines too. It was already maxed to injectors, the cheap fix works for now... But why not spend some more and get rid of the stock system? Than its already done when you go for more power later?
@sn95_mustang_garage2 күн бұрын
Had a Kenne-Belle Boost-A-Pump fail and leaned out my motor. Always always always buy a fuel system….never add a bandaid. Hate the word budget when it comes to something that can potentially cost a motor. Not budget anymore.
@brianhbinesh3 күн бұрын
Does the smaller pully cost more?
@ReignitedAuto3 күн бұрын
I don't think it's the pulley cost, it's the fact that they're already at the limit for the fuel system so it would cost much more to upgrade that enough for the extra boost.

Just found out NGK is moving production out of Japan and now that they are, some of the plugs run hotter than their number... I been a NGK camp member for years but with ppl having issues now from what seems like a qc issue has me nervous.... should i be?? Lol. Just wanted yall to be aware while tuning these hotrods bc they were always the go to plug for lots of guys esp for 2 strokes, I've honestly never run another brand since I was 8yo on my first dirtbike.

Im looking at adding the phenolic heat spacers and heatshield under my blower. Anyone have real word data and experience with the benefits? Comments plz!
@Fasterproms13 күн бұрын
-30-60deg off the blower and if you cover the valley cover with Mylar you get an added advantage. Instead of phenolic we use a high temp resistant nylon. It’s well worth the 375 for car averaging a lower temp that does translate into power.

Naughty, naughty! I cant believe you would do a customer this way then post a video bragging on your half ass work! Didn't reinforce the brick, No additional cooling , No green belt, used a junk pully, Griptec pulley or bust, E85 on a stock pump (What a pain in the ass) sure to expierence slippage and broken belts, no catch can, no trunion upgrade. There is a reason we don't use boost a pumps on these cars, they are not safe!
@TheLastHonk3 күн бұрын
My guess is the customer wasnt willing to pay for all of that stuff unfortunately. Its probably a balance of doing what the customer can afford while still trying to do things properly.
@eriklarson91373 күн бұрын
It's a real shocker that you have posted like 10 times on this video about how great you are at tuning. Yet, ZERO tuning videos on your channel. Hmm. Imagine someone that's never tuned calling out Jeremy. Neat.
@zl1chris9043 күн бұрын
@eriklarson9137 when did that happen? 🤣
@AH-lw2bj3 күн бұрын
@@zl1chris904 I've seen you comment multiple times on this video bad mouthing Jeremy for building this on a budget... If the customer wants something done on a budget so be it, probably ill advised to upgrade a car on a budget but it's not your car, and it's not your shop so STFU
@Fasterproms13 күн бұрын
Well this sounds like the typical internet drivel. If the belt is tight you won’t benefit from a green belt nor a grip Tec. Yes it was on a budget and this was by far the cheapest one can make this kind of power. As stated the larger pump would’ve been another 1k$ and it’s weird that every ford guy and their mother run boost a pumps and have a 99% success rate. I’m merely trying to break thru a couple of stereotypes that certain car groups have and show what others do and are successful.
@kylemilligan7523 күн бұрын
#1 build a proper fuel system. If the customer can't afford the correct fuel system stop. The kenne bell boost-a -pump high voltage hack does work, but for how long?customers are going to go run your tune wide open in high gear acting stupid. Why would you expose yourself to the liability of playing with boostapump gimmicks instead of doing it correctly?
@jonk28483 күн бұрын
I could answer that last question as it was covered right there in the video. Customer at the end of budget.
