sfi approved bell housing is a must have. you do like walking right? launching with that much power you do not want the clutch and flywheel coming in the cab with you. build the driveshaft loops as cross members to each rail so frame twist will be lessened. fully box the frame or at least run solid cab mounts to firm up the frame. you will be able to see more how weak the frame is once you remove the torsion bar cross member and related parts.

Doing a 4x4 LS stick shift twin turbo S-10 is intetesting build for sure. But 20 years ago i built square body S-10 V8. The "old" receipe was to put a good 10 bolt rearend in. Build a 400 c.i. with drilled out steam holes on my " fuelie" heads, solid lift Camshaft, Single plane intake, 250 shot of NO2, backed up by a "Vega" torque converter once redrilling the flex plate, reverse manual valve body turbo 350. Only down fall was running the stock tank having to run the exhaust down one side. 10.40 was fast for a "bunch of junk" slapped together! F.Y.I. Blazer fender flares look great too on a first gen S-10

Now I feel old! I was working in the dealership piecing those Syclones back together after the rods mysteriously flew out of them on the way to the grocery store. I hope you read this post. Why not mount the radiator in the rear? You will pick up a lot of cooling from the added volume of coolant. You can pick up fresh air from under the truck and vent it out the top of the bed. So you get cooling and don't need to heat up the engine compartment. Also water to air intercoolers are superior to air to air. The build is looking great keep up the good work. In the end a total amount spent on parts, materials and labor would be appreciated.

Head do flow nicely but they do have extremely porosity in the cylinder 1,7 2, 8 intake runners and the pool up coolant and cause cold start misfires and p050d code as well

Get the newer sblazer, jimmy rearend with the disc brakes. And There is an adapter to run vette dual piston calipers on the front end. Also the newer blazers and jimmy come stock with a smaller dual piston caliper on the front. 4.3 and 5speeds come with the option of the 8” rearend. 2wd will be shorter than the 4wd and the zr2 version will be like 2-4” wider than the regular 4wd.
