Where have you been all my life!🙃 I just asked my yard guy if he could pick up the cones around 1 tree before he mowed and you should have seen the look I got!

Lefty with Parkinson’s - used a child’s spring rake so I can switch hands often. Works great in South Carolina at Lake Murray

Tried this today and it was sooo much faster and easier than using those grabber things. I have been looking for a while for a more efficient way to do this, why did it take me so long to find this?? 😂 thank you!! 🎉

I'm from South Georgia too. Pine cones are definitely a pain. Good idea with the net.

Great tip! I've been using a 3 foot grabbing tool. It's time consuming, and the repetitive gripping action is hard on the hands.
@3BricksHigher Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I used to use the grabbing tool as well. I know what you mean.

Just get yourself a pinecone wizard, I have twenty pine trees so I know what pine cones do, I bought a wizard and it saves tons of time. Best $80 I ever spent.

WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THAT NET YOU USE...ITS REALLY BIG... AND IF i AM BUYING ONE i WANT TO KNOW THE RIGHT SIZE.
@3BricksHigher Жыл бұрын
It's a standard bass fishing net. They are all the same size at wm, but I like the longer handle so I can rest it behind my shoulder. It makes it easier so my arms won't get tired.

My grass is much thicker under my trees and the pine cones sometimes get well down into it. Have you encountered that? If so, will this method get them?
@3BricksHigher6 ай бұрын
I've found it's best to get the pine cones before the grass grows over them. If you rake them out of the grass, you could then pick them up easily with this method.

@@3BricksHigher i tried your method today and it worked quite well. Pitching wedge is a tad short and i used a jumbo dust pan (with a handle) until i get a fishing net. Even though that dustpan and wedge were not optimal, i can tell it’s an improvement. Next time I’ll use a 9-iron and a net, should be even better. I’m in carrabelle fl and have hundreds of pine cones per week (lately). I picked up about 150 today and it took about 30 minutes.

@@cslloyd1 im glad it is helping! Its the only way i use, until i find a quicker way lol
