I know I missed the party on this one but holy cow how did you spawn into a new world with so many Endermen around you? And you didn't even have time to learn not to look at them. And then you went straight into a village that was guaranteed to have heavy attacks by zombies and such...just the most cursed beginning I've ever seen.

When I played for the first time, ages ago, I had an advantage. I had watched a number of videos of survival minecraft, so I was better prepared than you were. Those tall dark things that attacked you at the beginning are Endermen. Generally they won't attack you unless you look at them. You can look at their feet, but not their head (body?) They hate water, and can't enter a space less than 3 blocks high, but they also teleport. Very fast death indeed.

Unless you know what you're doing, Minecraft usually doesn't offer many tutorials, but there is an official wiki page that tells you info about the game, which you can find here at minecraft.gamepedia.com/Minecraft_Wiki One thing I'll tell you, is that monsters spawn in dark places, so when its night time that's when you'll see a lot of horrible things. However, if you create torches and put them outside your house, monsters won't spawn near them, because the area is lit. Its what I do for my fort, so I can stop monsters spawning outside and I can carry on working at night.

I think it would be more fun for everyone that Nat learns through experience as she plays and small direct tips from her followers. Rather than her reading up on a wiki or tutorials. Discovery is part of the fun of Minecraft.

If this video portrays the extent of your experience, you really didn't see much of the fear Minecraft can induce ^__^ There is "mine" in "minecraft" => you should mine ! Mine stone and make stone tools, and a furnace, and maybe cook meat. Explore caves and fear the monsters lurking in the dark. Get shot by skeletons' arrows. Mine and cook iron and make iron tools, and also some armor. Explore some mineshaft, fear the poisoning cave spiders that can squeeze trough tiny tiny holes in the walls to you. Delve deeper, mine diamonds, make diamond tools. Keep fearing the monsters. Be surprised by some bouncing slime and get pushed into a pool of lava, and loose all of your stuff, burnt into it. Start again, be more careful. Get obsidian, make a nether portal, go the nether. Yes, it's a hell dimension ! I don't know much about the recent additions but... You shouldn't fear the zombie pigmen, they're ugly but peaceful... unless you threaten them. Do fear the ghasts, they'll throw exploding fireballs at you if they see you... from far away. Find and explore some nether fortress. Beware of those big wither skeletons, they kind of poison you when you get hit by them. Find and fight frightening blazes. They're dangerous too : they shoot fire balls at you and they can fly, so they can get as hard to reach as a ghast when in the open... but you have to get their rods. You also have to face some more of this enderman that killed you so fast : you need their ender pearls. (yeah, rods, pearls... that's really not what one may think it is) Craft some ender eyes, find a stronghold in the overworld. Explore that dangerous maze, find the end portal, complete it, and prepare to go through it. Prepare because it's a one way trip ! You're warned. Remember the endermen. Welcome to their land : The End. There are only endermen in this place, and they are everywhere... just avoid looking at them °__° Oh, and there's a dragon too. The Ender Dragon. It can phase through matter and destroy any that isn't endstone or obsidian. You can't hide from it and it wants YOU. Want to go back home ? Well, you just have to kill the dragon.

This game gets pretty fun. I love building sandstone palaces in non-sandy regions, so that I can spot it from a long way off. My big problem is getting lost.
