Irl they are. They’re technically “hard” in the sense they’re scratch resistant (Mohs scale), but they’re brittle and can shatter easily because they can’t absorb impacts at all

Make furnaces/smokers/blast furnaces burn you and set you on fire for 10 seconds if you try to pull out smelted items without tongs/oven mitts while the furnace is still lit, or if you directly touch a furnace while it's on. Bonus points to have food burn and turn into barely editable burnt food, and then into charcoal if you leave it in the oven too long.

Some village-based ideas: * You can free an iron golem from its enslavement, instantly causing the entire village to become hostile toward you. * If a village spawns stupidly (i.e. halfway on top a mountain with a ravine going partly through it), it'll have warning signs on the outskirts telling you it's dangerous. There will also be piles of bones in the ravines, as if some villagers already fell in and died. * Using fireworks in a village while you're outside of a structure causes an iron golem to show up and harass villager(s) nearest to you that are outside. Like how touchy cops in some American towns are about fireworks during holidays that are known for having fireworks. * If you sleep in a village structure but leave the door open, sometimes you can wake up with some of your inventory missing. It can be found in a different structure, in a chest that was not there before, implying the "owner" of that structure stole your stuff. * One item from every villager will be a very high-priced mystery item. The mystery item, when purchased, turns into any random item from the list of items that villager can sell. TL;DR it's just a gacha. * Iron Golems with flowers can sell flowers to you, if you've maxed out every profession in the village. And here's one random one * If you name a mob "Baby Notch" and it dies (specifically it has to die, despawning doesn't count), you're kicked back to the title screen and the world you're in is deleted.
