I totally feel your R&D sweat and tears. I tried to build a pullback car for my 2-yr-old. It has to sprint like cat and sturdy as a rhino (so they don't destroy it). I find 1 pullback motor too limited, so I try to put 2 into 1 car.... then, the torque is too high at release, and most of the energy is lost. So, i start to add tires...... The process of R&D is very underappreciated for most viewers. Technic builds are not easy to tweak, and sturdy Technic builds are even worse. Congrats on this milestone project. Let's add more wheels for traction and hit 50!!

Thanks! You're totally right, the months spent to create the car is not really visible in such video. I'm planning to do an upgraded version in the future but the key element is to find the proper track and that's still missing.

@@RacingBrick I think lego will never do that unfortunately. They seem more concerned about making the stuff more idiot proof than giving anything near as powerful as the RC motors... Also we will never have micro motors like in the past. The only good side is that the app controlled stuff will certainly add possibilities with the new components depending of if lego makes that stuff modular...

You should build a car that has all those moters in line and connected and make it a rear wheel drive so you can do crazy burnouts and have a powerful motor
@captaincamera5016 жыл бұрын
This might add a lot of complexity but I think it could work. Add a gear box that you can switch the gears, there are a lot of different designs on the KZbin. This will allow you to have a very high gear ratio increasing speed and than you can have a very low one that give lots of torque and then have an in-between. This set up should allow you to go faster, you start on a low gear and work your way up the different gears until you reach the highest one. This could increase weight so if you want this to work you might need to try to remove even more weight, I don’t know if weight will play a big factor but it’s still worth it. I’m not one hundred percent sure but hopefully it works!
@RacingBrick6 жыл бұрын
That would add a lot of weight, this build is as light as possible
@captaincamera5016 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it was just a suggestion, otherwise, thanks for responding too your fans :)
@RacingBrick6 жыл бұрын
@@captaincamera501 sure you're welcome :) The biggest challenge with this build is control range, it is very difficult to find a long wide open road to accelerate smoothly and a way to stay close to the vehicle within the Bluetooth range.
@captaincamera5016 жыл бұрын
That would be very true actually, it’s a shame that LEGO doesn’t make some sort of signal booster. This video has inspired me to go out and accept the challenge of making one that can go this fast! You have done great with the video and the car. If you have any extra tips I would love that (you don’t have to).
@RacingBrick6 жыл бұрын
Well, based on my experience you can't go this fast with 100% Lego parts. You need BuWizz for the extra power and small weight. Otherwise build as light as possible, with a strong frame you can rebuild quickly because you will crash a lot :)

Emellett sokkal több lehetőség is lenne benne.

Great story, great build, great result, great animation. Great work! What kind of speed range would a car double in size be able to get in?
@RacingBrick4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Not sure if the size increase would give a speed increase as well since the weight to move would be significantly higher as well.
@hntrains24 жыл бұрын
@@RacingBrick, I was actually considering a lower speed exactly because of the added weight. But I would also expect increased adherence and maneuverability, and that I would easily trade for a decrease in speed. How about if L motors were used? How would that be reflected in the vehicle's speed?
@RacingBrick4 жыл бұрын
@@hntrains2 L motors would make it significantly slower. This whole construction was built to achieve the highest speed possible with 4 buggy motors, so if you would like to create something that is bigger and has better maneuverability then you'll probably need a fundamentally different approach.
