You need to watch The Phenomenon, R9, the OG Ronaldo. Before the injuries he was literally unstoppable (think Messi and C. Ronaldo combined). Averaged about a goal a game in Italy (best defensive league in the world at the time) and then scored about 47 goals in 30 something games at Barcelona. Along with Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Kaka, Cafu, those Brazilian teams of the 90s/early 00s were stacked. For Barcelona, Messi was trained in the academy. All it cost them to get Messi was the price of hormone injections when he was a kid. But yeah, Barcelona have been a big club for a long time, and absolutely dominated European football around 2010 from both amazing players (many home grown) and a beautiful style of play. You literally couldn’t get the ball back once they got it.
@MrVvulf2 жыл бұрын
In the history of football, there has never been another player anywhere close to Ronaldo R9 before his first injury at age 23. He should have won the Ballon D'or at age 19 (he lost by 1 vote). He did win it at age 20. Think about that... The best player on the planet as a teenager. Messi, CR7, Neymar...none of them were even in his league at a similar age (check the scoring record, he scored twice as many goals as CR7 at the same age). If he had stayed injury free, the best player of all time wouldn't even be a discussion.

QUESTION ANSWER: In football, every country has its own league. The only leagues that anyone pays attention to are the "TOP 5" leagues. That would be 1. English league - Premier league 2. Spanish league - LaLiga 3. Italian league - Serie a 4. German league - Bundesliga 5. French league - Ligue un Basically, people only pay attention to the "top" teams in the "top" leagues. The only league that's really worth keeping up with is the English Premier League. The premier league is the best league in the world because it has the most amount of "TOP" teams in the world that fight for 1st place. The most "official" ball would be an authentic premier league ball (that changes every year), or a world cup ball that happens every 4 years.

His ball control was insane even as a little kid. Making professionals look like amateurs although he mainly played in Spain and was used to a slower game.

Ronnie was doing this when he was hitting the bar every night. Imagine he if had that discipline for the game, what he could have achieved. He is a freaking beast and an absolute legend to ever play this sport ❤❤❤ !!

Spencer talking about football is the equivalent of me talking about quantum physics like I know what I'm on about

Ronnie did not as you say “have every single move in the text book”. He wrote the textbook of fantasy football….then he broke the book. The most imaginative, original player I ever saw. And did it all with a smile. Had the fortune of seeing him live during his time in Barcelona. Soooo good!

Ronaldo 9 wrote the book, Ronaldinho expanded on it. The true GOAT contenders and inventors on the pitch.

Messi is The Predator. Ronaldo is The Professional Ronaldinho is The Entertainer. Ronaldinho just enjoys playing it is that pure and simple. He plays for the sheer joy of it.

One of the greatest to ever kick a football. One of the best attitudes towards football. He was doing these skills before Messi and Ronaldo came along. Ronaldinho is my personal GOAT, but everyone is allowed their own opinion. There are other contenders.

In terms of overall ability Messi is definitely clear, but I doubt we'll ever see another player as fun to watch as Ronaldinho was, the ultimate entertainer. And football is at the end of the day entertainment so for that I definitely see him as my favourite player outside of the team I support ever as well.

R9 without knees won a Ballon d'or and was elected best player of a World Cup while playing with a young Ronaldinho. Enough said.

He is the man that made mllions (I guess..) boys love football. He absolutely loved what he was doing and no matter what happened in a match he'd still smile. *About 8:28 When he played for Barcelona there were nights he would fly to Greece just to go to one of his favourite greek singer's show without letting the team know.

I loved to watch football matches when I was a kid when he would play. Later I would practice and improve my skills. I never really had the drive to actually play football professionally but to drible trough the legs or similar,tricks,cool shots that's what I loved doing. Its something I do even now sometimes with kids.
