Not only do I like polyrhythms/meters because they sound cool and feel cool to play and take a lot practice and are therefore inherently satisfying to perform, but they have a handy side effect of making you learn a whole lot about how subdivisions relate to each other.

The first time I could do a fill in 3 instead of 4 felt amazing. :-) And you’re so right, this stuff takes repetition until it’s fluent. Now, with “perfect time” I also care about micro-flams for unison hits. Thoughts?

I agree, theoretically that accuracy comes from muscle memory.
