People message me all the time on here and they are like it won't go into maintenance mode, I did it like you said or it won't come out of maintenance mode I did it like you said and I'm like what do you mean and they're like you have to hit okay on the screen or else it won't complete what they don't see is me shaking my head with my hand on my face saying you guys obviously don't know what you're doing you don't have to hit okay you can literally just turn the key off and get out of the vehicle and push the piston in and then get back in and do the reverse with the switch that you did to get there omggggggg

And I thought I was fancy knowing how to manually release auto-release (vacuum, later electric) foot parking brakes in Cadillacs! That is still be best parking brake design I've ever seen as it will actually work as a safe emergency brake that doesn't lock-on. Electric transmission shifter, electric parking brake..... How do you secure this car after you have had a bad wreck that destroys the battery or fuse box, what if the cable corrodes off and it dies; do you jump out and find a chock really fast? Who is the idiot who thinks these are good ideas?

Hey, I continue to enjoy these videos. I'd like to ask you an off topic question, because I trust your feedback on this. How do I protect a GDI engine (not dual, only direct turbo)? I see people speak on catch cans, but every video is literally sponsored by or has an amazon associate link to that particular brand. I am looking for an idea that won't mess up my warranty, if there even is one. Can they be cleaned? Should I do that every x miles or will that do more harm than good. Any advice at all would be appreciated. I'd imagine an honest take on that could make a good video too.

A catch can should not void warranty because it's not altering the state of the engines Health in a negative way A catch can is a very good thing to run because you don't want that oil going back into your motor and you want to prevent that as much as possible Even though some people are sponsored by these companies it doesn't mean they're biased , it just means they got lucky and got sponsored pretty much all of the companies that make reputable catch cans work I'm not sponsored by jlt and I think their catch cans are pretty damn good

@@Christopher_B_Mc_Collins A JLT catch can is easy to install, if you want to do it yourself. I’m not mechanically inclined at all, but I put mine on my F-150 in 15 minutes.

@@FordBossMe This makes me happy to hear because I put a JLT catch can on my truck and I have a 150K mile Ford Protect ESP warranty on my truck. I was hoping, and expecting, that my extended warranty would still stay intact since it’s a good way to help protect my engine.

Just make sure to set a routine to empty it out. Used one on a Hyundai Genesis Coupe and couldn't believe how fast it would fill up.

Thanks for awesome and clear instructions. Have 2018 F150 that has no drivability issues, has 55k miles on it and just got PARK BRAKE LIMITED FUNCTION AND ADVANCED TRACK SYSTEM. Do you have any idea what it could be? i found wheel speed sensor supply code but when I checked with snap on verus all 4 wheel speed sensors, no dropping out/glitches on any of them. Someone suggested, disconnecting battery and cleaning the terminals and replacing battery if needed. Did you experience this message on newer Fords? thanks a ton for taking a time to reply to this

Is there public access available for all the tech documents that dealer techs use? Even if it’s for pay? I had a hacked copy of Mercedes WIS and used it for everything. Their pay version was too expensive for a hobbyist.

You can try to put everything back together and put it in maintenance mode

Or you could take a Power Probe and unplug the connector going to the pump in the back and apply power to one side and grounds of the other side and the motor will turn in by itself it's up to you just be careful

@@FordBossMe Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. Mondeo in Sweden is Fusion in US, same car. But it is impossible to get to EPB service mode. Instead it says: "EPB fault". -15 mk5 Ford Mondeo/Fusion.

@ghostrecon618gaming5 I'm telling you guys you don't guys don't know what the f*** you are doing Now I'm starting to get aggravated because you guys are telling me something doesn't work when it clearly doesn't work you just don't know how to do it because you're not following the steps correctly here's the directions right from the manual Set the ignition to ON. Release the EPB. Press and hold the accelerator pedal and place the EPB switch to the RELEASE (downward) position. Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and EPB switch. Set the ignition to OFF then set the ignition to ON within 5 seconds. Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch. Set the ignition to OFF then release the accelerator pedal and EPB switch. NOTE: The brake system will be deactivated, preventing brake application until service has been completed and service mode has been deactivated. The yellow EPB indicator will be illuminated and Maintenance Mode will display on the message center. NOTE: When replacing brake pads in service mode, the brake caliper piston must be compressed into the caliper housing. The brake caliper piston does not have to be rotated while compressing the piston. Deactivation NOTICE: The brake system performance will be significantly reduced when the brake system is put in service mode. NOTE: Carry out the following Brake Maintenance Mode deactivation procedure to activate the EBB and EPB systems. These systems can also be activated using the diagnostic scan tool and following the on-screen instructions. Set the ignition to ON. Press and hold the accelerator pedal. Place the EPB switch in the APPLY (upward) position. Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch. Firmly press the brake pedal for at least 1 second. Release the brake pedal while continuing to hold the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch. Set the ignition to OFF then set the ignition to ON within 5 seconds, then release the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch. NOTE: Once the ignition is set to ON, the EPB system will immediately apply and release the parking brake to guarantee sufficient air gap between the rear brake pads and brake disc. If the EPB switch is not released prior to completion of this sequence, it will apply the EPB. The EPB will have to released prior to moving the vehicle. NOTE: When Brake Maintenance Mode is deactivated, the Yellow Parking Brake and Red Brake Warning Indicators turn off and "Brake Maintenance Mode" no longer displays in the message center.
