@tvisuals54156 жыл бұрын
If you digitally speed up it sounds like midi too. not like old analogue speed up where pitch shifts. Anyhow this is a Production video. not a random home video. all editing possibilities are possible
@AlanJohnPeach9 жыл бұрын
To all of you saying fake - His reflection syncs with his head when he moves it to the left (as we see it) on the bottom right hand corner of the clock. It does not look 'unrealistic' and to do this you would have to manually paint pixel by pixel, 60 times a second for 4 minutes. That's 14,400 frames. There would be far easier ways of faking it if you were going to do it than that, trust me at this point anyone calling it a fake is being illogical.
@iaorfnamneyf95089 жыл бұрын
Or... you know. Just make the clock tick slower. When confronted with an improbable event, you shouldn't think "wow, look at all the signs that suggest it is true!". You should think "Assuming this is fake, how could it be done?". For one, speeding up the video, with a clock that runs slow, is a pretty darn simple way of doing it, and it would work. Now, say they wanted to do this a little harder and not use a modified clock: You create a difference matte of the background. Shadows and reflections can easily be extracted from the high speed and then superimposed on normal-speed background clock. You just need to rotoscope a handful of frames where his elbow crosses the second-marker. And there you have it. Two plausible explanations for the seemingly implausible, both more likely than what you are so feverishly championing.
@MusicVideo-oe9hz9 жыл бұрын
Iaorf Namneyf I agree with the More Logical Explanation getting round here.. All Outside the clock is Digitally sped up .(after double layering same footage) But only in the actual parts where he is Playing and sitting more still. I've been Involved in editing that is far trickier than this , they were doing stuff like this in the 50's however it's a lot easier with Digital Home Editing Programmes we have today. And yes Laorf Shadow casting effects are a piece of Cake , with these facilities
@flaminflamenco61039 жыл бұрын
Music Video 3000 Yep Exactly!! The Editing is happening in the Playing Sections only ..Thats when everything outside the clock is sped up. Too easy with a copied layer. as explained on :The worlds Fastest Guitar Hoax" ..KZbin Vid

the video is real, ok... and the Guitarist plays really fast and very good, ok; but the whole thing is still so fake.... i'm sorry. look at 2:42 how he finishes the chromatic ascending scale before the backing audio does... I'm afraid this video its just a 'thumb down'. This is not musical anymore. He is so talented! he really didn't need to fake this, he could probably play good music instead.

I'm not into the shredding stuff, but let me tell you, this guy is amazing, from another planet. I've seen many guitar players playing the Flight of the Bumblebee with an electric guitar with loads of distortion and effects behind, eventually hiding those "little mistakes"...but on an acoustic...that's sick !! Congrats Mr Shahi !!!!!!!!!
@OmniscientVirtuosity10 жыл бұрын
Thats not an acoustic... It's a nylon Classical. There's no way that can be done at 300 plus with steel string acoustic. The pick would shred and there'd be mistakes and injuries. Having said that this is impressive, unless we find out that this is the only tune he knows and has been practicing this only the last 15 years to do this. Fast aging should be more versatile than just bumblebee a 2 minute tune

@Adam-zt1oi6 жыл бұрын
It IS an acoustic guitar. "An acoustic guitar is a guitar that produces sound acoustically by transmitting the vibration of the strings to the air-as opposed to relying on electronic amplification". There are steel string acoustic guitars, nylon string classical acoustic guitars, Spanish acoustic guitars etc. etc.
@thomasbarnes64586 жыл бұрын
Adam well done you pointed out what an acoustic guitar is. Also your point of 'relying' on amps is invalid as amps just amplify an audio/electrical signal into the air anyway. Most of your favourite acoustic pieces were probably recorded with some kind of amp in it anyway sooo
@arnaud785 жыл бұрын
Absolutely unbelievable! Hats off to this guy. The difference between him and a hundred other guitarists on KZbin who claim to be the fastest in the world: they do it on electric guitars which are capable of a lower action, and use a ton of distortion to hide their mistakes. This guy works pure genius on a classical guitar with a CLEAN sound. Brilliant!

Why is it that in every video that has guys showing speed, haters say things like, this isn't what music is about, or music is about feeling, etc.. ??? This is a talent that I assume took years in the making. He likes speed playing. Chill out people,
@EstuariesMusic9 жыл бұрын
While it's wildly impressive how fast he can play, in some respects I have to agree with the people that complain about the things you stated. There's nothing wrong with a person who can shred like hell on a guitar, but there reaches a point where you go from talented technical playing to just noise. If this guy wasn't playing a song that almost everyone is familar with, it wouldn't be as impressive because no one would have a clue what was going on. This is coming from a guy who avidly listens to technical death metal and thrash metal. Look up the album Apocalyptic Feasting by Brain Drill and tell me that you can sit through the entire album without it quickly becoming stale. PS: I'm by no means belittling his abilities. He's definitely mastered technical playing and I think he's an exceptional guitarist.

I'm sure those people don't understand that this is a demonstration of an acquired skill and talent and not at all what the artist might consider to be musical. Demonstrations like this shouldn't be considered "Music" in the basic sense of the term.

Checked it out in slow motion. He is playing this, It is at the final speed 23.33 notes per second. BUT.. If you check it in slow motion you will notice he is not picking 23.33 notes per second, he is picking closer to the original speed sort of like taking the 4 notes per beat notes and picking 2 or 3 of them.. (unless he is doubling frame rate of camera which could be 15fps.. but then he would be picking faster than the song which makes no sense). His fretting hand is really well controlled and it is still tough to pick actual music at these speeds. I have been up in the 20 notes per second range with string changes but don't ever remembering getting to 23+ I am talking about picking every single note though.. which this appears to NOT be the case.. either way.. very nice playing and timing is outstanding!!!!!!!

Allen Van Wert The clock is there to prove that the video is not sped up. It's true, the video is not sped up. THE AUDIO IS SPED UP!! He is just syncing his movements to the pre-recorded audio, he is not playing the sound you hear, it's fake, but clever because it's so simple :) If you're used to dealing with audio, you can tell that there is something very unnatural in the sound, which you get when you speed up an audio track even if you adjust the pitch to compensate.
@CahillandDelene9 жыл бұрын
Rob Dunlop Are you a professional guitarist for over 15 years? Let us all know. You have no idea what you're talking about. If he could be actually be moving his hands perfectly to play every note that fast, he would be playing! Why don't you just accept the fact that there are some extraordinarily talented people in the world who have the dedication to perfect something and push the envelope to this level. Geez. Just enjoy his playing.

@kennikuhlmann-clark98609 жыл бұрын
Flamin' Flamenco Actually superman was the 50's.... and yes, editing is easier for the most part (though large movie sets and locations and such are still quite difficult to do)... For me, a 'home' movie can have the definite advantage of being much lower resolution and video quality; this makes it easier to hide things -- and it's accepted because it's a 'home' movie...

Elijah Negron Well, not really. I assume you are referring to the fact that with higher gain(i.e. distortion), you can do hammer ons and pull offs with greater ease. You have to pluck every note with your strumming hand, with and without distortion in this song, so playing with distortion won’t make this easier. in this case it’d only affect the sound.

Wow. How could anyone fall for this. Listen to the sound of the guitar. The tape has been sped up. The clock is a digital video, easily manipulated. It's not a terrible fake, but it's not that great either. I don't know if someone can play 32nd notes at 300 bpm but this guy isn't

Yep Final Cut or Adobe , digital speed up is worse than the old analogue as instead of pitching up it glitches out. I mucked around with these kind of vids . and edited clock?..This stuff was done in the 50's and is much easier now. remeber there was 2 Elizabeth Montgomery's standing side by side in Bewitched? or 2 Gilligans?...Same shit. Easy as shit to do. this is babyfood to an editor

This is most definitely fake. But I don't think it has anything to do with speeding up the video. The sound must've been sped up and the guy is simply mimicking it. In many moments his hands just don't follow the sound AT ALL. And that's why the clock ticks normally, because the video isn't edited, only the sound. Plus, it is pretty much impossible to play at that speed without moving the wrist. Anyone who plays guitar knows it.

if i wouldn' know that by fastforwarding a note you make it higher than it should be... i'd say that's humanly imposimble and that's why it is fake. it is not! this and the fact that the clock on the piano is working fine. still though... how the hell? like this video for the guitarist and my comment for those who think it's fake.
@RobDunlopPrettyInWhite9 жыл бұрын
Igor Portnoy It is fake. The audio is played fast, he is just pretending to play what you hear and because he moves so fast you can't really tell. When you speed up the audio you just select "maintain audio pitch" in the software and it doesn't sound high pitched.
@AlanJohnPeach9 жыл бұрын
Igor Portnoy It's definitely real. You can see his reflection in the bottom right hand corner of the clock.
@kennikuhlmann-clark98609 жыл бұрын
Igor Portnoy research methods for Final Cut Pro X, to see that speeding up can be done by default without raising the pitch, as well the ability to matte and mask areas of the frame (clock).... Speed of clock itself can be slowed down electronically

+erpaloinen ...yep seen it!... I can do these edit tricks too.. just isolate the clock area and keep it in real time (like is done here) and speed up around it, providing you have 2 layers. This is only sped up in the playing parts. Very easy to edit. ..the fake sound your hearing is a result of electronic speed up.

+Maniac Boy487 YEP! IT'S AN OLD EDITING TRICK..Easier to do these days tho
@alienintelligenceproductio76578 жыл бұрын
Kenni Kuhlmann-Clark Yep that can be done too, But the best and easiest way is to double layer the same exact footage (too easy) , and cut around the clock area revealing the bottom layer (that's in real time) and only speed up the playing parts on the top layer. But must be sitting as still as possible when being filmed in the playing areas which are to be sped up later. PS I know as I also edited stuff like this. ,Shame he went overboard as Digital speed up chops out frames , that's why it sounds like a ringtone and nothing like a guitar.
@kennikuhlmann-clark98608 жыл бұрын
Alien Intelligence Productions .... For me slowing the clock electronically is actually easiest to do, and requires only speeding the footage, with no layers or masking/matting required .... Anyway, when you say 'needs to sit as still as possible', do you mean that the guitar 'player' has to make very slow body movements (other than the playing hands), in order for people not to 'catch on' to the speed increase?... If that's so, yes, I totally agree of course.... This sort of ploy is nothing new, and has been used in movies since -- and particularly in -- the silet film era: whenever they performed some crazy stunts, showing cars/trains moving fast, etc, they had other elements such as people move deliberately very slow, so when sped-up would look like they were moving normal -- choreography in these videos can become important, which is why looking at stuff like the folds/creases in clothing appearing/disapperaing, and sometimes eye blinking, too quickly can be giveaways, especially at the very highest speeds.
