The key is to become a really good programmer or basically problem solver. Then things like front and backend becomes trivial. That's the reason why FAANG companies recruit problem solvers as they can quickly learn technologies and implement them.

I cannot thank you enough for these videos! I’m an information systems major at my university. I’m basically a business major that realized pretty far into the program that I wanted to work in the tech field. And while the program doesn’t go as heavy into programming as it’s computer science program, it goes pretty in depth into databases/SQL, and prepares for database developer roles. After watching your videos I’m seriously considering this path!!!

Hello teacher. Quick question. I like your SQL courses very much. But once I finish the two courses (Oracle and Postgres), I don't know where to find practices to work on. You have mentioned several times in multiple videos that it would take 3-4 months of practice to master it. Would you please recommend some SQL/ Database practices? Or do you have practice courses available? Thank you for you insightful suggetions.

Imtiyaz, I agree with you; coding bootcamps that promises you 3 months for full-stack is like a joke. I personally believe that even to master the core of any programming language takes minimum of 4-5 months with consistency because the brain has to absorb syntax properly. My suggestion would be that, don't compare yourself with senior developers. Just try to focus on one thing and give your best. ✌ Peace

You’re absolutely right. There is no way to be a full stack developer in 3 to 6 months. It should take more than year. Bootcamp is making their money and giving lots of information to students and at the end of the day they don’t even understand a single database key😅😅. Yes learn SQL only

Thanks for the updated video regarding this. I recently have spent about a year learning react and am decent with it now. I also heard of people getting developer jobs by just knowing React/JavaScript and in general the front end very well, having a nice portfolio of projects, and then doing well on the interview. How would you rate the difficulty of breaking into tech by going through your suggested route, learning SQL and tableau first, versus that? If you get a chance, please...

@horrorvonhorror4 жыл бұрын
This is going to sound silly, but it's true. A lot of times the job postings are cut and paste or posted by someone that doesn't actually know the correct qualifications! There are memes out there where the developer of a library or framework couldn't "qualify" for the job because the posting asked for 5 years of experience when it was developed 3 years ago. JUST APPLY, APPLY, APPLY. Go interview! Show them what you DO know and that they should like you. Ignore the experience section and just go apply. Best case, you get the job! Worst case, you wasted a bit of time... The literal worst thing they can do is say no... Don't let that shake your confidence! Even if you go through 100 no's... All it takes is ONE yes!
