Before going to any reputable bootcamp finish a few substantial projects beyond learning programming and engineering concepts . Bootcamps are there to kind of give you the feeling that you can code and perhaps make the job search process a bit easier .

Hi Elsa, this video was so helpful! I’m so discouraged about moving forward because of the recent layoffs in Silicon Valley, I’m trying to land a remote tech job upwards of 100k+ entry level.. but my biggest fear is 1. Getting laid off and 2. The position being replaced by AI

Hi there! I understand the current state of the market can be discouraging... In my opinion, this is just a temporary situation and the market will eventually recover, in fact, it's already starting to slowly recover and I believe it's a good opportunity to take time to study and be ready for when the time comes. In that sense, time plays in your favor. Software engineers are still some of the most demanded jobs, so I think that it's a great idea to study it if you're interested :)

Hi Boris :) This video is indeed marked as an ad, you will see a message at the beginning of the video that says "Includes paid promotion" which is the standard mechanism used in KZbin to signal paid promotions.

Hello Elsa, I would like your opinion if possible. I am a software engineer with +6 years of experience and have been promoted to junior senior currently. Now I work in Malaysia for a German company on site, but I am planning of moving to Europe. I don’t know why, but all the opportunities I applied for in Europe through LinkedIn & indeed ,i got rejected , even though sometimes i apply for junior vacancies. What do you advise me?
@ElsaScola4 ай бұрын
Hi 👋 I’m sorry to hear that… Have you tried reaching out to recruiters directly on LinkedIn? Also getting a referral can sometimes be helpful.

@@ElsaScola Thanks , I've tried yes , but no one reply and when they do most of them saying we are not hiring at the moment. I have many references i can use , but again I don't reach to the first interview , I'm not sure if they even look at my cv , why finding a job in out field is so hard in Europe ?
@ElsaScola4 ай бұрын
@@MouiadAli after covid hit there has been a period where companies (especially big tech) have been laying off many people and the market is still recovering. The situation is currently improving and it will keep improving over time so don't give up. In order to understand better your particular case I'd have to take a look at your CV. Feel free to reach out on instagram and I'll be happy to take a look at it and share some feedback :)

like how this is being broken down in a clear format TQ for the recommended link - it's true that an online course that consider both the theoretical and practical aspects of software development is a probably not-so-often find 👍
