The problem with the City Clerk Office's becoming passport acceptance facilities, is normally they have staff with full time jobs trying to also process passports. They often have limited appointments and are totally stressed if you are late or are not total prepared at the time of your appointment because they have other deadlines or another passport appointment scheduled after yours. They only have so much time scheduled for these appointments. I would recommend going to a place that have dedicated staff handling just passports.

It definitely can be expensive if you travel like your neighbor did, flying back and forth just once a year. The ideas about travel that I discuss on this channel revolve more around living nomadically. Staying in one inexpensive country for a certain amount of time allows you to save money, then you can travel again. Trip cancellations and holds are dependent upon the flight, agency, or tour operator you’re working with; they all have different rules. The State Department does not require you to have travel plans in order to issue you a passport.

The passport agency Only allows this appointment for those, who have an emergency or urgent travel within 2 weeks. So, i just talk about this method. I just concern if the State Department continues to ask for reporting your travel or they do not care if you travel or not after issuing you the passport. Do you know about this matter?

Gotcha. Correct they need to see travel proofs for any urgent passport. I’m not sure about the latter part of your question though. I would guess that once the passport is issued, an applicant would be left alone.

@@beromy_ It's a flat fee for the $130, you pay that with a check or money order. The $35 service fee is what you pay to the usps. You can pay the $35 with cash, cards, etc. No extra fees. Hope that helps. Good luck on getting your passport!

My daughter has a trip a week from today (Next Friday). We sent the application from the Court Clerk in Central FL month an a half ago, and still nothing. They made us wait until the 14day timeframe, just get the told to wait until 5 days before the trip to schedule an in person appointment. The closest appointment available is in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday. Do we have any other options? 😥 UPDATE ON WHAT ENDED UP HAPPENING: Sadly we ran out of options, and my daughter had to stay with grandma. If you have a future trip, don’t trust the “expedite” system. If you have time like 6+ months, do it now. If you have less than that, try a different route. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Question: I am having a difficult time finding answers to more complicated questions. I am curious on deeper details on application rejections. I applied expedited today and had all of the correct documentation ( Birth cert, License, SSN) however what concerns me is not having one of my parents birthplaces correct. I also did not have a former spouse birthplace. All other Pertinent information is complete and primary important information is correct. I’m curious if rejection is possible even though identity can absolutely be verified. (Also paid just over $250 to expedite) I am 8 weeks out from leaving the Keys to a wedding in Cabo. Hey Brentley, I can't guarantee that that will prevent your application from being processed, because they don't necessarily need every data point to determine identity. Have you checked the status updates for your passport through the government portal? For future reference: if there is something you don't know or are unsure of, you can add an additional sheet of paper to the application to provide more details. I have two question regarding US Passport Applications. I printed a filled out form via the form filler on the state gov website and it printed fine except the bottom of the forms are a bit cut off. is this fine ? It was printed on 8.5 x 11 just as asked on the website. the bar code and everything else is fine. Second question, I also picked up an application from my library and the forms I got were double sided with the main forms having instructions on the back of them. Is this fine?

You likely want the whole application on the page that you printed in case there is something missing that they need, they can be kinda picky about stuff. The application forms you get from the post office, library, etc. are the proper forms and being double-sided is okay for those ones. Just don't print your own application form double-sided.

Make sure you that dont have airpods in your ears when taking your photo- Walgreens took my photo and I submitted my info through my county clerk and no one flagged it until weeks later by the Passport people. My entire process was held up do to this :(

Only if you're applying under a special circumstance, like a life or death scenario, otherwise you'll have to follow the standard timeline and to get your passport. Of course, you can use the tips and tricks to speed it up, but the rapid passports are restricted to certain types of situations. Does that make sense?

Any service that says you can get a passport in 24 hours is a scam. You can pay the $60 expidite fee and $18.32 next day air fee, but it's still going to take a minimum of 6 weeks. Otherwise, apply within 6 months of your travels. Preferably 8 months. Don't pay for these websites that claim to get your PP in under that time.

Emergency passports are definitely available within 24 hours for Life or Death situations as well as emergency travel needs. Perhaps some websites/vendors/couriers are scams, but that does not mean that 24-hour passports aren't available. You don't even need to hire a service or use a courier to do it. Just follow the instructions I laid out in this video and you can do it yourself.

Yes for land crossings you can use a passport card. Book is for all modes but required for flying.
