Fastest Way to Get Feebas and Milotic in Pokemon Emerald!

The absolute best way to get Feebas and Milotic in Pokemon Emerald!
Feebas is probably the hardest Pokemon to find in Pokemon Emerald, so you should absolutely use the most efficient strategy when hunting for it. How to get Feebas in Emerald: Feebas is located in 6 random water tiles on route 119, so in order to find it you must check many different tiles. Use an old rod, as it is faster than the other rods. Use a Pokemon with the ability Suction Cups or Sticky Hold first in your party to increase the chance of getting a bite. Use a max repel while fishing and only fish once per tile, as that will lead to a faster encounter on average. This is the fastest way to get Feebas in Emerald.
Maths used to conclude that fishing once per tile is better:
The total probability for finding feebas is the probability of being on the right tile multiplied by the chance of encountering feebas. There are 6/446 correct tiles, giving a 1.35% chance of being on a correct tile, and feebas always has a 50% chance of appearing on the correct tile. Checking only once per tile means you can check twice the amount of tiles for a 50% chance at finding feebas at the correct tile, while checking twice has a 75% chance per correct tile. Let’s say method 1 checks 90 tiles in the same speed that method 2 checks 45 tiles.
Method 1: Checking Each Tile Once
P(Find in one attempt) = 0.0135×0.5 = 0.00675
P(Not find in one attempt) = 1−0.00675 = 0.99325
P(Not find after 90 tiles) = 0.99325^90 ≈ 0.5411
P(Find after 90 tiles) = 1−0.5411 ≈ 0.4589 = 45.89%
Method 2: Checking Each Tile Twice
P(Find in two attempts) = 0.0135×(1−0.5^2) = 0.010125
P(Not find in two attempts) = 1−0.010125 = 0.989875
P(Not find after 45 tiles) = 0.989875^45 ≈ 0.6333
P(Find after 45 tiles) = 1−0.6333 ≈ 0.3667 = 36.67%
These results show that method 1 (checking each tile once) has a higher success rate of 45.89%, compared to Method 2 (checking each tile twice) with a success rate of 36.67%. This highlights the advantage of covering more ground with method 1, even though each individual tile has a lower chance of encountering Feebas. Checking more than twice will be even less efficient.

All this stuff with the Pamtre Berry really isn't necessary. You can just collect the 6 Kelpsy and 6 Bluk Berries from Route 115 instead. Those can be easily blended into strong enough Pokeblocks to cross the Beauty stat threshold of 170 of Feebas to evolve it. That way you can get a Milotic as soon as you catch it in Ruby and Sapphire, or by Lilycove City in Emerald. Either way, you can get a Milotic before the Elite Four.

Today I caught a feebas. It took me about 10 minutes. I used an old fishing rod and that's it. I searched all the fields from the waterfall from the top and in the tenth line I caught him. There was one attempt per field. Easy. Good luck with your feebas.

Anyway before you make the video update i heard if your game battery runs dry the tiles dont change randomly during the next day lol so i hear. Guess bad glitches arent too bad. Dont know how that works with emulators though.

@@BoysterimTurk Yes, they will work on any emulator as long as you are playing the original Emerald version. (some viewers said they were unable to clone and they all had modified versions of the game, and you need to clone to do the pomeg berry glitch.)

Oof.. thats really unlucky. Someone in the comments mentioned there is a feebas tile checker tool online, where you enter your trainer ID to figure out where it spawns. You could try that?
