I don’t know what you guys are doing, if you’re being honest. I have been doing everything I’ve been told to do. I’ve spent over $300 on Etsy sales and in 6 months I’ve made 11 sales. I want this to be my full time business so bad, but I’m tired of wasting my free time working my butt off for nothing.

I have a question regarding Expired Listings. I know that if a listing is selling, to renew it, that’s a no brainer. My question involves the struggling listings. Is it better to make changes to those listing (Title-Tags-Photos) and Renew it, or make a Copy (fix the things I mentioned) and list that one in its place? I’m not sure if there’s still the “New Listing Bump” or not, but I’m wondering since I may have a low Quality Score on the original, if replacing it with a Copy that’s starts with an “Even” score is a better option.

Ads, not sure of keywords to rank for If you put sales on "new" items, what about items you haven't sold? And, if you are offering 30% off for example, does that mean that you need to raise your prices to allow for the discount?

Hi, Thanks for this great video and a massive help for this Beginner! A query about the 21 days (7, 7, 7 days) sale. The Etsy Seller Handbook states ‘you can’t artificially increase a price and cut it down just to make it look like you’re running a sale’. Is that what we’re doing here?

My profit margin is only around 25% on all of my products to seem competitive. Because of the price of my products even running 20% off discounts would mean I'd only make something like £1 a sale, which would end up being a loss if the POD or Etsy fees/costs change even slightly. What should I do to price competitively?

You mention to do a 7 day sale with 50% off and add ads. What about shipping? Should it be Free Shipping? Trying to figure out what my numbers would be even if it would be me breaking even but not loosing cause of the shipping. Also, isn't it a negative to have your price up really high and then do a 50% sale?

I’m trying to do this on an almost non existent budget. Canva and Kittle both charge $120. I don’t have that. 😢 I guess I’ll just learn what I can and try to sew my own items until I can get money to afford that.

Informative video for sure. It's the only reason sat through a million ads in it lol. Would you recommend having Shopify as a backup shop? I actually started my Shopify store back in January, but am more interested in organic, passive traffic, like the built in traffic on platforms like etsy. I just don't know if I want someone else in charge of my email list.

If you're running a sale you should be adjusting it by running a sale inside of the marketing tab.

One of the things you talked about in the stream and I've heard you talk about before is pricing. It sounds like you're saying with the pricing aggressively that you want to give it a more 'normal', for lack of a better word, list price, then do the 'aggressive' pricing through a discount so there's the discount countdown. Aren't you not exactly supposed to do that? Like I think I heard that giving a higher price to something just so you can discount it can run you afoul of, I think it's the FTC. Some federal organization I think FTC. I could be misunderstanding what I heard about the FTC regulations, or I could be misunderstanding what you're suggesting with the pricing, but could you clarify?

There is nothing, zero, ziltch, nada wrong with running a sale which is what we are talking about here. If you are normally going to sell a Blanket at $50, that's where you set the price. You can then use the sale feature to offer a temporary discount

Okay, that's good to know. I think I have an idea where I got a bit confused. Trying to think of what I heard I'm now recalling something something about the list price being 'artificially' raised and discounting it to the 'normal' price with a sale. Which isn't what you're talking about, since you don't list the price as higher than what would be normal (in your example $50). I think the advice I heard with the above to start a listing with a lower list price and gradually raise it, and not adjust the price with a sale when it's a new listing was perhaps more conservative than maybe necessary. Plus I wasn't remembering the part about the list price being artificially high which pretty clearly distinguishes it from what you guys are talking about, so I got confuzzled. Lol
