To answer a few questions - Timing wise, there's no time change for creating parts since you still need to farm the copper, then use this method. However, most players in Roblox Islands trade for items, especially copper. This is the fastest factory, regardless of copper source. I also recommend holding onto your copper and either make a ton of Gearboxes or hold your copper for this next update. Don't waste it making a bunch of parts you don't know if you'll need or not by making an auto copper press connected to your drill. You can thank me later if I am right! :)

In a nutshell if you want to Convert lots of your copper or steel fast from a newly bought supply use DV's technique since it just keeps eating copper or steel till it has enough stuff to make the mold you put in But there is no point in doing this if you dont have no copper or steel

DV. When you stand still and drop copper, u know how it can go everywhere, I came up with a solution. Place 2 glass panes (1 above the other) over a conveyor. the conveyor will stop you from doing the idle animation and the glass pane will make sure you stay in one place, also you can drop copper through glass panes so it is really helpful. hope u find it useful.

dv there is an option in crafting where on the bottom of the screen it says - 1 + , and u can make up to 10 at a time instead of 1

Objection- Yeah, if you have the copper to make the things already, then go for it and put it in the press. But to get that copper, you need to use the drill, and why not just put the drill and the copper press in the same farm? Once you have the copper press, you dont need the regular copper ingots anymore, and walking from an ingot farm to the press takes times, so I would just auto it and put it in the same farm.

I considered this but 1) you typically want to make something fast if you are making parts, 2) to auto it you now need two copper presses, mine uses 1, 3) you can trade for copper from other players. You’re going to have to do this anyway. While some can handle doing a full auto press, it’s a lot more painful than separating the workflows. Also, what happens if you decide you don’t need all those parts and you wasted all of that copper in auto? Better to keep the materials and use when you are ready to create parts you need now vs later. If we were doing an auto for food it’s different but this is only for a gearbox right now.

tip if you got a plate mold but it takes to long: for example its for copper plate u want the steel press but u got 500 copper ingot u can drop that on the conveyor leading into the copper press this can make the process faster i did it smelting copper ingot to while trying to save for a copper press (i didnt even have a mold so i went for bolt one xd)
