I think with the Ramsley's Trunk toy, it's supposed to set off when you go to open the chest. I think it's sort of like a scaring-prank kind of toy.

There were 3 film adaptations of The Haunted Mansion: The 2003 feature film adaptation that starred Eddie Murphy. This adaptation was pathetic. Muppets Haunted Mansion, the adaptation on Disney+ that starred the Muppets. This adaptation was the best one. The 2023 adaptation directed by Justin Simien. This adaptation was lukewarm.
