I noticed here where there's even one shot where she fully joins in with the audience applause after someone else just landed a big punchline, you rarely see the TIM guest physically move that much

That "rhyming names" first round is exactly the kind of thing where if Rhod Gilbert or Claudia Winkleman had it as a proper truth, they'd dig in sooooo deep on having fun trying to make it sound like the biggest lie ever lol

What I’ve noticed about “This Is My…” is that it’s always the friend. Really, it makes sense, because how would the staff go about tracking down a worker from the person’s childhood or some stranger from wherever? It would be difficult. So, the personal connection prevails.

Yeah, and from what I've seen it's never someone with anything even slightly negative or "controversial". Like Henning's one for instance.

yeah in fact now that I'm rewatching this episode, I'm especially surprised David, upon Lee finishing his story, doesn't immediately ask "and so after following this poor woman for 40 minutes, you then asked for her full name and contact information?" lol what's worse is some people, including David, have indeed zeroed in on exactly this type of detail before, the deconstructing of how they'd go about contacting the given person to then appear on the program

@@kevinw712 I love this show and everyone on it but I'm pretty sure it's partially staged and/or rehearsed and definitely edited to make it more entertaining. It is a business after all. 😁

I love Henning Wehn’s sense of humor. I NATO colleague from the German Army. I was so surprised to find out that Germans have a sense of humor contrary to popular opinion.

I never could understand that stereotype. I have some very funny German friends. (Born, raised, and still live there. Not Americanized) Smart, empathetic and funny as heck!!

How cone sometimes guests did not tell any stories - truth or lie? I guess they weren't that funny and ended being cut from the final episode?
@kevinw71222 күн бұрын
every time they do a proper recording, every guest on the panel gets 2 full individual turns, including Lee and David (this is separate from whomever it happens to be that week for the "this is my" round). Sometimes, a particular guest's turn might only wind up in the "unseen bits" episode that's at the end of each series, but bits aren't put into those episodes because their round wasn't deemed "funny or entertaining enough", it's more just about the timing of their particular stories that arise from their truth or lie. However, yes there are sometimes individual rounds that get relegated to the cutting room floor entirely, and not put into the "unseen" compilation episode, and in those cases it might've been that the story that's told wasn't all that wild or engaging.
