when you said you’ve fasted multiple times for the same topic comforted me so much!!
@sincerelynellymartin9 ай бұрын
Yes! It was not a one time and done type of deal! Some prayers have been like that, but other topics I’ve had to go at it multiple times! In the end God has been faithful 😊

Tips for success: 1. Have your prayer list ready - have a scripture book (write specific scripture that are on what you are praying for) - write 1-3 things you are seeking God for. 2. Spend time with God - Ask God for the grace to finish the fast well 3. Be prepared ahead of time - be wise and don’t stock up on sweets or go to restaurants 4. Avoid temptation - Don’t go out to restaurants or look through your kitchen

Hi Nelly, been fasting every Tuesday and Thursday since February - still no breakthrough in my job search. It can sometimes be very disheartening but I'm keeping the FAITH!!
@tiffanymadden176 ай бұрын
Maybe try to do it for 3 days straight. I know I had a spiritual breakthrough and healing moment with the Lord when I fasted for 5 days in a row. It was hard, I also wasn't working at the time, and I don't know if I had been working if I would have been able to do it. Also good to note I wasn't asking for an outer miracle but an inner one. I hope this helps, sending you love and blessings on your journey🕊

Fasting should include Social Media, TV. and even socializing (to an extent.) Social Media alone is a dangerous addiction for many. We must take breaks and give up the desire to scroll and use that time with the Lord. Everything else you said was spot on & insightful!

Nelly, months ago in January I found your channel and the video about praying for my godly husband. I left a hopeless comment on one of your shorts when I was giving up. I think God brought me the man (time will tell) because I sacrificed my desire to me married. Sure enough, I met this amazing Christian man. Now I’m back looking on your channel for help because I need breakthrough in a job/my business/finances. I’m a single mom. I left a life of comfort just to be free from emotional abuse now to be barely making ends meet. I have so many gifts and skills and talents but I cannot get unstuck. I’m exhausted all the time and I need a huge breakthrough. I’m considering a fast. Your videos make things so easy to understand even as someone like me who has grown up in the church. I really need to fast. I can’t keep living in this season of exhaustion and struggle.

Fasting is one of the best ways to make room for what God has for you, especially if you’re feeling stuck! Choose a fast you can stick with & don’t be afraid of starting with one day. Jesus promises to reward us openly for praying & fasting so go get your reward! God liberated you from that emotionally abuse place, He will provide for you 🤍 Also, CONGRATULATIONS on meeting an amazing Christian man 🤩🩷 that is such good news!

I think food for fasting is a personal belief and God honors your heart in you sacrificing other things. In the Bible times, food and sex were the biggest things to fast from bc there was no tv, social media etc.
@precious_times43222 күн бұрын
food for fasting is written in the Bible, everything else is good to abstain from to give your full attention to God because things like tv and social media are big distractions and can easily become “addicting.” Doing them in conjunction is great though.

To everyone listening, as you're inspired by Nelly's example and try these fasts she's mentioned-dry fasting, 6am-6pm fasting, or the Daniel Fast-remember to nurture your spirit in those times. Prioritize prayer, meditate on God's word, worship, and study the Bible. These practices will help you grow even closer to our heavenly Father.

Hi :) I absolutely love your channel. You’re doing a beautiful job and we’re clearly anointed for this. Ok so, my faith is deeply rooted and I’m a big believer in the biblical idea of fasting but I’ve personally never done it bc I have severe dysautonomia, which includes a rare blood pressure disorder and electrolyte disorder, and hypoglycemia (all due to a very serious condition I was born with) so sufficient fluids and eating every 3 hours is a must. I’ve spoken to my doctor (whose faith is also deeply rooted) and he said absolutely not (for me). Do you have any suggestions for those of us that cannot fast at all on any level?
@sincerelynellymartin5 ай бұрын
Hey 💕 thank you for tuning it 🤗 and if you battle with this disorder and your physician says no, then in your situation I would abstain from meats, dairy, and candy (essentially the Daniel Fast that way you can still eat and drink) and in that time really focus and consecrate before God by reading the Bible voraciously and praying for extended period of time. I have done this and gotten amazing closeness with God 🙏🏽

@sincerelynellymartin6 ай бұрын
So in the wilderness Jesus didn’t eat but he did drink. That’s why it says Matthew 4:2 NKJV And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. It said he was hungry. They didn’t say thirsty because he had water. In addition, the human body cannot survive more than a week without water. I hope this clarifies 😊

My skintone during my childhood was fair , as I grew up it became darker , tried everything, people mock me and laugh at me , I feel insecure can I recieve my childhood fair skintone through prayers, fasting and scripture? Please tell me.
@sincerelynellymartin5 ай бұрын
Wow, this makes me so sad ☹️ When I was younger, I had a looser hair texture, as I grew older my hair became coarser and more kinky. People also made fun of me because of my hair, and I prayed to God that he would make my hair texture more loose. I also fasted. God did not make my hair looser, instead he led me to videos and people that taught me how to care for it. Today I am married to a man that LOVES my hair, he hates when I wear wigs or even synthetic braids, he just wants me to wear my natural hair, the same hair I used to get mocked for. And now that I’ve learned to care for my hair many other women with my hair ask me for advice on how to care for it. God made you how you are for a reason, and it is beautiful. Not everyone will recognize your beauty, but the RIGHT people WILL. If I were you, I would pray and fast to ask God to help you see yourself the way HE sees you 🙏🏽 become the best version of yourself, not the version that others want you to be ❤️.

@@sincerelynellymartin thank you that's very inspiring, but the thing is god made me with fair skintone but because of tanning it got dull, so can I restore it by asking to god ?
@sincerelynellymartin5 ай бұрын
If it’s just dull skin then yes you can pray, and then watch videos on KZbin on how to have “glowing” skin, at that point it’s just a matter of exfoliating properly to get rid of dead skin cells and using the right products like an antioxidant, a retinoid, and a good moisturizing face cream
