Yes sir! Our cat-back exhaust is fully compatible with all downpipes (OEM/lower/full) that end in factory location.

Do you reccommend removing the exhaust heat shield ? I've heard some ppl remove it to get rid of any exhaust noise or rattle

Great question, however we have never had to remove the heat shield. When installed correct there won't be an exhaust rattle. If a rattle occurs then most likely the exhaust system is coming in contact with something underneath the vehicle.

If i was interested in the 14inch touring exhaust that is resonated, would that affect the sound on the exterior? Or just give it a more quieter interior sound in the cabin? I seen the non resonated video and it doesn’t sound like it’s much drone which is what I’m trying to avoid.

Great reply and questions! The resonators primary objective is to cut down interior noise resonance (drone) without effecting performance. Keeping in mind that this very same CBE is compatible on 2 different Q50 engine variations; the 3.7L NA engine, as well as the 3.0L TT engine. The NA version is much louder, as the turbos act as primary mufflers on the 3.0L version, hence making it quieter. All this said, sound is subjective and we all perceive it differently. In our honest opinion the resonated version is not needed on the 3.0L engine. What are the boots called that go on the back of the exhaust hanger shaft collar?

Thanks for sending a message. I think what you're referring to is the shaft collars that hold secure the metal exhaust hanger to the rubber hanger underneath the car.

Yes, we make a replacement cat-back exhaust system for the Q50 VR30DDTT. It can be purchase with or without resonators if you choose. Sorry, but this exhaust system was only designed to fit the Q50.

Non-Resonated is the most popular selling option; especially with stock downpipes or lower downpipes. If you have full downpipes installed, you might want to go with the 14" Resonated x-pipe.
