I have been a tour guide in Dawson City, and I have lived here since 2009. This was probably the most accurate video I've ever seen made by somebody from away. The only thing I might correct is most call him Tagish Charlie not Dawson Charlie although there are many people that use the Dawson Charlie name. Everything else was perfect!

Wow! Thank you so much. We try hard to do our research before making a video, but will admit that we don't always get it exactly right. It is good to know that this time we were (mostly) successful!

Thanks for sharing your story. I was in Dawson 1 time and have left my heart there. What a wild untamed land that is. Thanks again for taking me along with you.@@AlaskanRamTravelAdventures

what us thier most used fuel for winter heat, wood? i can hardly believe there would be any trees left by now, i know sub zero climate growing up in central minnesota
@AlaskanRamTravelAdventures3 ай бұрын
We saw a lot of heating oil for sale in the far north, so we are sure that is a common fuel for winter heat in some areas, but we aren't sure about Dawson City specifically. We were in Minnesota along the North Shore a couple of weeks ago! Our videos run quite behind, but there will be one from there in the coming months. Stay tuned!

We are interested in a Bigfoot but would like to do a lot of boon docking. Do you find clearance under the Bigfoot to be big issue. that is our greatest concern. thanks for any feed back
@AlaskanRamTravelAdventures9 ай бұрын
We have done some boon docking out small gravel roads without issue. You have to use some judgement on when determining what might damage your trailer. The standard Bigfoot trailer does sit lower than most, but it's not yet been a problem for us. I will say that the lowered stance makes the trailer pull much better (more stable, less wind drag) than most other brands. And, if you are interested in ordering a new one, Bigfoot can build the frame such that the entire trailer sits higher off the ground. This is done by welding in some additional steel material on the bottom of the frame to lift the trailer. It's not done by flipping the axles, which is how some people attempt a lift (not the right choice in my opinion).

You find enough gold to cover the trip? 😂

Not even enough to purchase a gumball, but it was still exciting!

Historical Dawson City! Great showing and very informative. I hope to visit some year. I read Pierre Berton's The Klondike - fabulous story, and I learned he grew up there too. Well done 👍. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day 😀.
