The American adventure ride being a mish mash of different western cultures is actually spot on in my opinion, it’s very similar to how Americans and Europeans treat eastern cultures, with the different and distinct cultures all getting thrown together under the label of one country. If you ask me it seems like the people who made the ride knew what they were doing with that choice.

Fun Fact about the german version of Gremlins Invasion: -In the showbuilding the original Track still exist but filled with concret, you can see it if the showlights are on. -One of those Movie Rolls Regals still is standing in there original position, but painted black, since the riders on van Helsing wouldn't seen that -The Shocking scene still stands, but with out the gremlins and behind a fake wall -For a few years(dunno if still exsiting) the ALF animatronic from the loading area was seen in the Vanhelsing right, controlling a Crane in the scrapyard scene And the next one is just an Idea, which im 0% sure that is is right but im thinking of it: -In the new "Movie Park Studio" (opened like 3 days ago) ride there are film rolls regals with film rolls, possible that some of them are from Gremlins Greetings from Germany!

Many of these rides would be fun to attend, especially the psychadelic experience given how unique it is. It was also fun to see Vi På Saltkråkan (heavily mispronounced in the video), and it makes me think that Sagotåget (the storybook train) at Junibacken Stockholm could be interesting for such a video as this. It's a dark ride featuring a collection of most of Astrid Lindgren's stories, and it holds some childhood trauma for many with the giant rat villain from Nils Karlsson Pyssling and Kattla the dragon from Bröderna Lejonhjärta. It's also a pretty bizarre ride since her story settings have a very wide variety.

You talk about the American Adventure in the past tense but to be clear, I went to Shijingshan a few years ago and I’m pretty sure the American Adventure is no longer there. From your video you show it situated next to the fake Spaceship Earth (it itself being a rip off Soarin’ style attraction) and when I was there next door was a decommissioned airliner as a walk through attraction. This would suggest your second guess about the ride being for people who have and never will leave the country is probably correct. Shijingshan is far from the only Disney copycat park in China and probably not the worst either.

Throwing together words / bits of culture / etc that remotely look American is a very 21st century Chinese innovation. Spent a few days in Jinan (Shandong province) back in 2008 and many of the young locals were wearing t-shirts slathered with American words. Most made no sense but some had words you can't say on TV in 4" high lettering. A couple times we were asked by those locals what the words on their shirt actually meant, and upon explanation, they found it hilarious.
