Worth hardly anything in all likelihood. How about when you were little and treasured that Tamagotchi or Furby? Plenty of people love their cars and feel pain, when they sell them or they get damaged. We are a weird species that assigns sentimental value and even empathizes with all sorts of objects. It's no reason to look down on anyone, just because they express one of the most common human behaviours. Also, it may keep the animatronics from murdering us all in our sleep. Genuine, vintage, 1970s human, here! I was absolutely besotted with "The King" animatronic, as a little girl! I already loved Elvis's music, and I loved lions and cats, so I enjoyed that character's performances, the most. A couple of odd facts: My local CEC never changed into a Showbiz Pizza - and they never transitioned the King into the MJ inspired character. The establishment remained a CEC, well into the 1990s. I can recall being invited to a neighbor's child's birthday party (I had made the cake), no later than 1994. The King was still there, in the same place, in his original garb, doing the same songs. It was nostalgic, to see him again. In case anyone is wondering about that location, it was about 30 miles NW of Detroit City, near Waterford, MI.
@Jim26D2 жыл бұрын
Yeah from my memories this never happened as well. The king at mine always stayed as an Elvis and never turned into show Biz pizza. This was in Ohio but cannot remember if it was boardman or niles. I remember seeing a king still in use till at least 1985.
@Winters.C2 жыл бұрын
The Showbiz in Southgate MI changed to CEC. When I was a kid I always liked Showbiz better because of the animatronic band. They rarely had them perform once it became CEC. There was a Caesarland right down the street too.

this video just boosted my inspiration my interest of programing, working on robotics and of course my love for animatronics and things that's been abandoned and left behind, this video was so great. I hope you'll find anything that's at least related to this!

Cavitysam is slowly getting the restoration in multiple animatronics up to speed, with fursuit commissions and premades plus making headbases it takes time.

That's why things should be recycled or destroyed and NOT ABANDONED! Try to imagine the environment damage and entire park can cause! Plus, the loss of machines so well builded where centanly, somebody, had worked a lot on.

i really enjoy learning about animatronics and their restorations. a cool idea for a horror game would be where you investigate an old place and encounter run down animatronics that help you, and since they were made to entertain people the're very friendly.

It's so sad seeing these robots that were made to bring joy, just sitting in warehouses for years. All they 'wanted' to do was entertain, and they were just locked away to rot Glad they got their opportunities to shine again!

It was a cool experience as a kid. That 3 storie Chuckie cheese in Santa Rosa California was the last awesome chuck e cheese i went to in the late 90s. Miss the original chuck e cheese.

I love Chuck E Cheese I remember going to Chuck e cheese when I was a little kid with my 2 brothers and My Dad. I have started collecting mini arcade machines (the recent one is space invaders). I want my mini arcade to be a mix between a classic arcade and Chuck e cheese. Fun Fact: I learned the king from tpmvids video about retired Chuck e cheese animatronics.
